  1. Oh man, I WILL have that Shine Glide! What a sweet looking bait and for $25?! What a deal!
  2. You took 4 out of those 13 pictures. That's a pretty good number considering how rarely we get to fish together.
  3. Excited about the new Berkley War Pig, looks like it could be a good bait to me! Excited about all the new Berkley hardbaits honestly, hoping for another affordable option for hardbaits.
  4. I finally got my weedless version perfected, but I mainly fish riprap so not a lot of need for it. Once I finally get to make another trip down to Table Rock or Bull Shoals I'm sure I'll be glad I have them. Once a TRD is too torn up to be used properly, that's when it's used up to me and gets tossed in the trash.
  5. Sounds like your brakes aren't set correctly. You shouldn't have to loosen the spool tension up that much to be able to cast.
  6. Those black squirrels are cool and illegal to shoot or harass here. On a side note, reading the call logs the other day while I was holding over until noon to see what was going on around the county. A lady actually called 911 because she had a squirrel in her front yard and wanted us to come do something about it because she was afraid it would bite someone I bet she would have had a heart attack if an officer would have shown up and shot the thing.
  7. Welcome!
  8. The resident B.A. doesn't need no commas or periods
  9. Exactly. With most places offering free shipping on orders over $50 anymore, why go to Wal-Mart for fishing tackle? The one by me does have some great new hooks from Eagle Claw. Some short shank, EWG, black nickel trebles that are really nice and come in a 15pk for less than $5. Also have some EWG, heavy duty black nickel worm hooks that come in a 12 or 15 pack for less than $5. Other than that, I have 2 BPS, a Cabela's, 2 Academy Sports, 3 or 4 DSG, Roger's, Mondotackle, and Scheel's all within a hours drive from me, I have no reason to shop Wal Mart for fishing tackle.
  10. First 3 are all green sunfish no doubt. 4th one is either a Flier or a crappie 5th one is a largemouth bass no doubt.
  11. I'm using a 7' 3" H/F Ethos from Academy. Got it on sale for $59 and it's the best frog rod I've owned. Lots of power but loads well to fire a frog a long ways. It has micro guides which I like to help with cast control so I can hit spots under a dock or overhanging tree. It makes a good pitching rod as well.
  12. You better find something wooden to knock on after that comment. I've had it several times as recently as last year, it sucks every time.
  13. They're both very thin and difficult to rig on shakyhead if you use the screwlock type. I'd use the bigger of the two. The smaller size works well on a Pro Slider head.
  14. My dad 10 minutes into fishing with the first Megabass he's ever bought.
  15. Not when it's suppose to rain through the rest of the day.
  16. My biggest smallie of the year 4.5 pounds, caught on a custom painted 110+1 in pink/white/chartreuse.
  17. I'm still blown away by some of the stuff I see on my 93SV, even on lakes I've fished for years. It makes it tough to pay attention to fishing sometimes.
  18. 300 Curado or Cardiff is are both good swimbait reels that will handle what you're wanting to throw.
  19. What kind of water you fish is largely going to dictate what kind of boat you're looking for. If you mostly fish ponds and small lakes then a johnboat would be perfect. If you like to get out on bigger water well then,
  20. Sorry to hear that but like I said, it's just a matter of time. Good snaps won't open, so if you want to save time retying just make sure you get a good Duolock snap to try to prevent it from happening again. You don't have to buy expensive ones, their design alone prevents them from opening while fighting a fish.
  21. For me, nothing calls fish out of vegetation like a bladed jig. The report I posted the other day in the Fishing Reports forum every fish I caught on my bladed jig was fishing around and over vegetation. Ticking them over the tops and then snapping it anytime I started to collect some weeds and they were slamming it. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/160330-decent-day/
