How Do You Handle Noise From Your Boat?
Then you have to get a LONG ways away from the dock for it to be quiet again. You could always start trolling, then you just have to listen to his snoring

3" Senko Question
The Zman TRD would be really close to a 3" Senko, only much, much more durable and cheaper.

Championship Team Disqualified For Use Of Alabama Rig
I'm glad it's just your opinion. I enjoy fishing them when I go to a state they're legal. It seems to be an all or nothing bait when I've fished them, either the best thing going, or I can hardly get a bite on them. They're still just a bait, if you aren't around fish or using them correctly they're no more effective than anything else. I'm glad they aren't allowed in most tournaments though, not much fun watching guys slinging A rigs all day. I've never fished a bait that draws a more vicious strike with such regularity though.

Skirts Unlimited Silicone Smell And Stickiness
Had a lot of times where the epoxy for the weedguards was drying on the way to the lake the jigs were so fresh, they still catch plenty of fish. I dip a lot of my jigs in clear JJ's, just dunk the whole thing.

I Feel Useless, Sad, And Sick To My Stomach...........
Good call on not visiting when his wife has asked you not to, she's already stressed out enough as it is. I know when we were in the NICU with my son we had people calling every day pestering us on when they could come visit (visitors weren't allowed except grandparents, hospital rules). We'd made it very clear that nobody would be visiting until we got moved to a regular room or we got to go home and all those calls did was add extra stress that we really didn't need at the time. Glad to hear that he is making strides in the right direction, hope that he keeps making progress.

Winter Wipers
No, they're hybrid striped bass or wipers as we call them. They're a white bass/striped bass hybrid. They're shaped more like white bass but they grow large like a striper.

Live Baitfish
I use a cast net to get most of my bait that I can't catch on a hook.

Is It Bad I Want One?
I saw one awhile back and almost ordered it. My wife likes leaving the door open when it's nice and of course flies come swarming in but then it's my job to kill the flies, might as well have fun doing it

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Went to Olathe after work on Thursday to see if I could find the wipers. I found them, but they wouldn't bite. Decided to go lure hunting, that went really well, 18 baits after a lap around the lake. The beavers out there have sure been busy. Towards the end of my lap my battery was dying so I started tossing a jerkbait to get my mind off of how slow I was moving. Got to one good stretch with deeper water near the bank so I forced myself to slow down and fish the bait right. Caught fish on back to back cast and was really wishing I'd have fished for bass a little more. I also had a fish pull off at the north corner of the dam. Curt and I fished La Cygne Friday, fishing was pretty much all we did. I think our finally tally was a white bass, 2 small wipers, and 4 dink bass. I had what felt like a really good fish pull off a jerkbait but never saw it so can't say what it was. Stacks were never going and the outlet was only 45 degrees, 50 was the warmest water we saw all day.

Winter Buzzbaits
"Winter" If your water is 58 degrees, everything is fair game.

Square Root Of Dink
Wouldn't you need one more to have a square root of a dink?? Don't you wish it was legal to use those for bait
-
Go To Smallie Lure?...
Depends a whole lot on the conditions. Spring time it would be a jerkbait, summer time it's usually a bone colored super spook jr or a Ned rig.

First Buzzbait Strike Today
Fish miss topwaters, just part of the game. Like was already said, wait until you feel the weight of the fish before you set the hook. Just be glad that topwaters are even still an option for you in mid December.

Suffix 832 or Performance braid.

Plastic Fish Grips For Bass
I've used those fish grips on bass and they work just fine and going to hurt them a lot less than bouncing them off the front deck of the boat or dragging them up the bank. The biggest issue will often be actually getting them in the fish's mouth.

Fd's 6Th Annual Fishmas Exchange Loot Thread
Thanks to topwaterrob for my package. All good stuff but I'm really interested in seeing if I can find a fish to hit that monster popper!
