I used my lefty reel the whole time today for the most part other then on my spinning set up but that's lefty also. It went much smoother then last time but like many of you said having the rod in your dominant arm you have more power to set the hook I definitely noticed that today haha.

Same here with mine in .243 I'm sub MOA at every distance iv shot 100-200yds I'll put all 5 shots in the same hole if I go slow but if i go fast my 5th shot is always a stringer because the barrel heats up from them superformance rounds going threw the light sporter barrel.

Whats your favorite jig color. I have 2 I find my self throwing more then anything "rusty craw" from all terrain tackle for football jigs. This year as brief as its been I cant put down black and blue I threw it alot in the beginning of last year and became my favorite till maybe the last month or so when I threw the rusty craw in some gin clear water. there the only two colors I stock up on besides a few white but not many white jigs. Black and blue is quickly become my favorite and go to jig color.

Got out today with my nephew to our honey hole proved to be a pretty good day. He's leaving for the marines next Friday same time I go back to Kuwait so we had a little fish off just pure numbers of any species regardless of size. He started off strong with a nose hooked Gulp minnow catching some BIG bluegill. He got a 3 fish lead on me then I got a 1lber on a Jika Rig white fluke once we got to deeper water. After that I went on a roll getting one off almost every pitch of the jig to pieces of cover. They were holding tight to wood grabbing the jig on the first hop. I scored with the jig mostly besides the 1 on the Jika and lost 1 about 4lbs on a Jackall iShad jig and white fluke nose hooked I wanted to cry after loosing it, it had me tangled in the brush for a good minute or 2 I was using my old POS spinning set up with old crappy 6# mono on it. I finally dug it out it ran for open water then made a jump and threw the lure at my face as if to give me the finger. All the others for me came on one of Siebert's jig with a Rage craw in watermelon red flk usually i throw bama craw but im all out. Ryan put his gulp down sick of catching bluegill and fingerling bass and tied on his new RC2 crank and started picking up some decent 1-2lbers on the crank while I moped up with the jig. we ended up tieing in numbers but I blew him out of the water in size and weight my biggest was a solid 4 his was 2 most mine were in the 2-3 range. I woulda had more pics but I stopped after having a close call watching my phone slip out of my hands and hit the edge of the canoe and luckily bounced into the canoe rather then out. It looked like there should have been good frogging but I only had 1 blow up and Ryan fired a wacky rig in after I missed and caught it it was maybe a 1lb

I haven't caught one in probably 10 years but last ones I caught came on crawfish I had caught they have blue tongues at lest the ones I was catching did I got Polaroids of it some where or my mom does.

Marlin XS7 .243 58gr vmax or my 870 with #4 buck Marlin 917v .17HMR throwing 20gr cci gamepoints for Fox,Coon, Groundhogs, Squirrels. I'm hoping to add a TC Encore to the list for all of the above also with a muzzle loader, 22-250 barrel, then a new .17 Hornet if I can ever find one for my predator calling rifle. No bow anymore but i'll be getting a Hoyt of some kind this fall

I can shoot and write left handed but I'm right handed my spinning reels are all lefty. I'm hoping maybe get out tonight and just bringing one set up and mastering jigging a little more and the lefty reel

I used to build model cars with my old man when I was growing up I have over 300 there all wrapped in newspaper and in storage now. I did the trading card thing as well still have all of them. At one point I was collecting bottles of every beer or liquor I had every drank one bottle of each I had a giant collection then my mom threw em all out when I moved out at 20...........

I seen a hunting show a year or so ago they smacked a grizzly in the shoulder with a .338 and it just roared back with its paw as to swat it like a fly. they put 2 more in it to get it to stop.............I seen that and my wife still makes fun of me when I say I wanna go on a bear hunt because when I seen that I made the comment I wouldn't go with anything less then a M2 .50 cal lol

Te smallie I got last night was in thick weeds but came on a jig flipping it into "holes" in te weed bed. Now I have caught a lot of smallmouth on horny toads but they were Texas rigged with a 3/8 bullet weight around beaver dams and other log jams in the river by me that's loaded with smallmouth.

I have caught 1 on a bronze eye only 1 though

I used to buy 1 of everything but now i know what colors i like and work for me and buy 3-5 of the same lure same color. Ebay has been great this year iv been buying lots of single lures mostly plastics but i have scored a few lots of LC pointers and rapala husky jerks.

funny you say that cuz the second one I caught did get my finger I dont have a pic of it because i had blood all over my phone,shirt, hand, reel you name it I was gushing good gave me 4 nice razor like slices from my knuckle to my finger tip. I ended up just stepping on it and yanking the hook out and booted it back into the water.

Oh yeah he had a blast he's obsesed with fishing and hunting. He's all boy he loves holding fish he helps take care of the horses he has chickens he goes and gets the eggs every day and chases the rooster with his cowboy cap guns from walmart. I can't wait till my youngest can go too I am stuck home with him today while the wife is dress shopping and Noah is at papas scouting for deer season. Iv been watching old bassmaster episodes and brauer battles with him getting him ready for next year when he can go.

Took my wife and son out this week got a bunch of sunfish and rock bass. Noah got all his on his own other then casting for the most part he sets the hook reels em in I take em off the hook and he releases them. First time out him and the wife got a double on their first casts. Nothing of great size but we just do CPR and there all big enough for him though he calls them dinks or babies lol.

I got out on my favorite lake last night for a few hours with one of my co-workers from my civilian job and had a blast. Using some jigs and some of Big O's Rage craws and a Revo S I bought off OkobojiEagle. I was flipping the jig with rage craw for a trailer into 3-5 FOW along the bank with some patchy grass scattered all over. I landed 4 bass 3 large mouth and 1 smallie all on that set up. So far sense iv been home on leave iv landed 8 bass 7 LM 1 SM and 2 Northern pike nothing giant biggest was maybe 2lbs but its been almost a year sense iv caught a bass so it was a giant in my eyes. Id up load pics but it keeps saying upload failed.

thanks i'll try it out that way. Another thing I noticed I do with it is I hold it differently my RH reels i palm it putting the trigger between my ring and pinky finger with my pointer finger under the level wind letting the line run over my finger. With the LH reel I found my self holding it low some times not even with my finger wrapped around the trigger or just my pointer finger.

Iv been using one lately its a 6' MF convergence I cant tell if i like it or not iv had it for years but never used it till recently. Its a big difference from my 7'6" MHF Veritas. Iv been using the MF for cranking but casting distance is blah due to being 6' I might make it a zara spook rod with a older reel.

I tried it today briefly idk how it looked and I didn't catch anything on it. It seemed to be "tangled" when it came out of the water I made mine myself I might tweak em a bit.
