  3. I dont have a jack plate on my boat but was wondering if it was possible to mount the power pole to the motor bracket that gets mounted to the boat and operates the electric trim, Its a 115 optimax. I hate the idea of having to drill holes in the boat.
  4. I currently have a hds 5 in dash with structure scan, I'm thinking of either moving that unit up to the front of the boat and putting a 7 in dash or leaving the 5 and putting a 7/5 at the front. What do you suggest?
  5. I ended up putting a weedless wedge 2 on my motorguide tour 75 and it works well, took some modifying but runs great in the weeds now
  6. Thats exactly what I'm using it for. Fishing heavy pads , texas rigging a craw and punching through heavy cover- mostly lilly pads. Ive tried a few different plastic pegs but they are too small for the 1 oz opening, they'll start off pretty good but when I start setting the hook the bobber stop peg style gets stuck inside the head and loses its effectiveness. That would take a lot of skirt material to peg a 1 oz weight, Ive tried using the plastic pegs and it takes a couple strands to keep it in place. The idea about using the bead might be the trick, It would also act a rattle too.. Great idea. Thanks.
  7. Im having a hard time finding a weight peg that will keep from sliding through the hole when setting the hook. 1 oz tungsten weight specifically. I end up having to result to using a tooth pick which Im not to fond of, I worry it could lead to break offs. what do you use?
  8. "This is text book" When I come across an amazing piece of structure or cover
  9. Youre not doing anything wrong, dont have him sit on your lap or anything well your showing him how to tie knots and youll be fine lol.
  10. I use the ardent and dont poke any holes
  11. thanks Will, and jig man. That will save lots of time lol
  12. As an update, I havent had a chance to out all that much but when I do Ive been primarily targetting shallow water pads and dense weed cover near deep water and been have success. Using both a flipping jig when the weeds arent too thick or a 1 oz pegged craw. Black, Black w/ blue flake, Green pumpkin with black flake, Green pumpkin with black and red flake.
  13. I recently ordered from barlows and it came in solid strips, not like the typical silicone that released by cutting the ends. Does rubber come like this also? kind of a pain to seperate them all by hand.

ive also started pouring on the same hook (28degree) 3 , 4 , and 5 ought. Have yet to try fishing with it yet but it looks like a nice stout hook
  15. Stink Eye, Sting Shot
  16. Watch some of the bassresource youtube videos. Sometimes watching videos vs reading articles can help with make sense of things
  17. Kershaw, Sog, Ontario. Depending on what you expect from it? Hard to beat an ontario fixed blade as a survival knife. Ive used mine time and time ago while camping in Algonquin park for shelter building, fire building, general use.
  18. Lots of musky here in our waters, Caught one 2 weeks ago fishing a senko on spinning tackle, 10lb braid. Took me a while to bring it in, Didnt measure it but it weighed 16 lbs.
  19. Flipping jig, black on black with zoom chunk. Make my own jigs.
  20. Do yourself a favor and pick up some senkos, green pumpkin, watermellon. Do some searches online for your local area to find some water where bass are frequently caught and go give it a shot.
  21. Im also a big fan of power pro, I would like to try sunline braid however.
  22. I have yet to buy them yet, the trays in my nitro z6 can carry group 27s , I would like to get the maxx 29s but may have to see about switching out the trays with larger ones or modifying the current ones to hold the 29s. I saw the everstart 27s but doesnt look like they have maxxs in the 27
  23. number 2 for me, I dont know anything about painting cranks but is it possible to add some kind of gold glitter to it? almost like the gycb baby bass senko pattern? pretty deadly
  24. Cadman is the man, hes helped me a lot.. Making jigs can be frustrating in the begining but with some patience and help, its hard to beat catching fish on a jig youve created.
