  1. I think the point of a forum like this in regards of sharing your experience about a service or company is important. Thats why we have a section on fishing tackle and rods, reels , lines. If someone has a bad experience they should write about it - its like anything else, go on bps website and youre going to read good reviews and bad, you need to go through it and make your decision. Dont sit here and cuss out a company like a moron because you werent happy with them, but whats the problem with saying the customer service is terrible- explaining the situation and outcome. A forum like that is an asset, where people who share the same interest can come together and look out for eachother. Say X company has treated a few members poorly, I want to know about that so I can save myself the same grief and send the message to these companies that youre not just dealing with one customer, youre dealing with a community that will support eachother, you mess with one you mess with all kind of mantality. Heres a story for you, 2 years ago I purchased a used hummer from a dealership in my area, at the time I was an active member of a hummer forum based in my area. To make a long story short the dealership messed me around and hid a few things from me that came apparent once I drove the vehicle for a week, when I went back to them they werent willing to do anything, I was SOL. I reported what happened on the forum and another member who owned an advertising company took the time to send the manager of the dealership a letter, to this day I dont know what he said but I can tell you a few days later the manager of the dealership called me up and told me to go into the dealership with my visa and he credited me $1000.00 for the repairs they tried to cover up. Strength in numbers made the difference when the dealership knew they werent just going to ruin their reputation with one person but many.

Ive been making some of my own jigs over the winter, mainly black head black skirt as thats what I use on my waters 99% of the time, Id like to try the new alimony pattern though, Dont have an air brush but I figure I can come up with something to get a little spray of blue and yellow on the black head, the skirt is the tricky part though, the website I usually buy my skirts from dont have one with the alimony pattern, any suggestions?
  10. Stay safe over there, whats the weather like in Kuwait
  11. I dont have kids, and I def wasnt raised with a silver spoon.- and for the life of me I cant understand why someone when asking about what they would do with large sums of money would say Id leave enough money for my kids to do something but not to enough to do nothing. Is that what life is about? Working and learning the value of hard work? I didnt realize that was the bane of our existence...Theres lessons in life that can be taught outside of years of hard work, and what a waste of a life. You spend 35 years of your life working to retire at and age that leaves you incapable of doing the things you enjoy because youve been beaten and battered all your life. ( generalizing, but true for most) I know many people who killed themselves slugging years in hard labor occupations with the thought of freedom 65, when they finally reach that age they cant do squat because of health issues. If I won, Id travel the world, buy a place in Italy, set my family up for life, help out some poor struggling people. am I forgetting something? Oh yea Id fish my BAG off!!!
  12. Times are a bit slow in the hvac business, couple guys working on site today. Im having a coffee reading over this forum- cant wait for bass season to open..
  13. I think this is a challenge to get out there and so something completely insane! anyone have any ideas? Oh yea. I was made the mistake of listening to some friends and meeting up with a girl from a shady web dating site, she was a weirdo- Little did I know the meeting spot was a horse ranch after dark.
  14. Jerkbait, let it soak between jerks
  15. What kind of jig are you using? I dont know about anyone else but I had some bad luck with strike king denny brauer jigs, Id set the hook on them fight the fish for a few minutes and come off beside the boat, Switched to another jig and never lose fish anymore, with that size hook and braid with a stiff rod you can really drive the hook home.
  16. Thanks for the responses guys. So like you all know saturday was a right off for us being in the dynamite holes, and ps we launched out of belle glade and saw the memorial tournament hosting there with all the prizes. cool stuff.... knowing that the winds were going to be high sunday we decided not to get out on the water. However yesterday we did, we hired another guide for a half day 8-1 we launched out of okeechobee and fished a couple cuts off the main channel.. once again we sat in two spots all day because the "wind" was too high and it wasnt worth going out to battle wind.. All in all I was disappointed with the guides, and mind you we hired 3 different ones. I understand that weather is always a factor in how well you can do on the water but a positive attitude is more important, when not even trying to get out and move around when the fishing is slow thats just bs. 3 weeks ago during the flw tournament we also flew down and hired 2 guides for our trip with poor results also, understandable because of the big cold front thats why we decided to come out again this weekend. All in all we spent over 1000 dollars on guides from 3 weeks ago and this weekend, not to include our flight, food and accomodations and im still not satisified with a true lake O fishing trip.. To be honest I dont know if I will go back. Id like to if I could bring my own boat or pay someone who is actually going to work for the money and get us on the fish, not someone whos going to dick us around and just take our hard earned money.. seeing gators is nice but that being the highlight of the trip 3 days out is crap...
  17. Came down yesterday from canada, took out a guide but only managed a couple since we were limited to the dynamite holes. Guide didn't have a jackplate to get us out into the boat lanes.I'm flying out monday around 8. I was hoping to experience florida bass but no luck yet, any suggestions? Or anyone offering a guide service who's on some fish?
  18. great clip, I thoroughly enjoyed it and definetly would recommend watching the entire video! Id love to see those new edge rods come on the market!
  19. I got a sweet deal on 20 lb tatsu locally, paid 26 bucks for a spool. Been wanting to try this line for flipping/pitching for sometime but had a hard time justifying 70 bucks for a spool of 20 lb. Ive typically stuck with braid for flipping but feel the benefits of it being nearly invisible will pay off in our zebra mussle insfested waters. Ive tried flipping with invisix w/ kvd conditioner and couldnt stand it, I swapped back to my braid within an hour of using it. For you tatsu users out there who are specifically flipping with it what are your opinions?
  20. Has anyone replaced a bent shaft on their trolling motor? Is it worth it?
  21. you wont catch fish if your line isnt in the water
  22. I dont like the sounds of this rig and fear it may change bass fishing, whats next? I sent an email to the director of a tournament trail in my area explaining the many points those of you have posted on how this could negatively affect our sport. like B.A.S.S. i hope they do the same.
  23. Work has been slow so im planning on taking off this weekend to put in a couple days of fishing in @ okeechobee, hows the weather there right now, the forecast said 30km/h winds, this isnt a trip ive made before or can make frequently I want to have a good time and get on some fish. I was thinking of using a Roland martin marina guide service and find a local motel for accomadations, anyone have any suggestions or reports on whether now is a good time to come, or which guide to use? by now I mean as early as tomorrow morning and stay over the weekend. Thanks
