  1. I learned that lesson about 14 or 15 years ago on a body of water I have fished since I was a little kid. That was quite a wake up call!
  2. Reorganize plastics. Sharpen or replace hooks. Restock low inventory Clean reels. This should take me through the end of January.
  3. Great fishing info added by great people.
  4. Get the 6. I've ran out of gas before on the lake. It's no fun paddling back in open water.
  5. Either a stik-o, or a trick worm.

I love any kind of cream pie, but my Mom's apple pie was the best.
  7. Congratulations to her!
  8. Last year I was pondering on the idea of retiring my older low profile reels, and some of my older rods. In the end I decided to do it this year. I don't like to buy gear sight unseen, so it's taken me until now just to get the reels. I'm still working on the rods. I shouldn't have put it off and just pulled the trigger on the new gear last year.
  9. They're out of production now, but I always had good luck with a Storm sub-wart.
  10. I've never had much luck on jerkbaits around here. The only one that seems to work consistently is a clown colored Smithwick Rogue.
  11. Congrats on the December PB!
  12. There has been a lot of forum activity lately about rods that are lost or arrive damaged.
  13. I've got 2 premiers. They are good rods. Enjoy!
  14. Virgil Ward, Denny Brauer, or Kevin VanDam.
  15. I use the Ultravibe speed craw or a rage craw. I find that sometimes the size of the craw doesn't matter, as long as, the color of the bait matches the real craws in the water.
  16. I'll have to order some. I haven't fished with an actual pork trailer in probably 30 years or so.
  17. Cast and crank how I fish crankbaits and spinnerbaits. I will let the baits be still for a few seconds, but my retrieve will be steady and slow.
  18. We have those in a couple of ponds near me. I was always kind of afraid to bump a bait into them because I didn't know what they were.
  19. Dang! That's a bummer.
  20. A beetle spin. If I have ever caught a bass on one, I can't remember doing it.
  21. A faster solution may be to heat a knife and run the blade through the tear.
