Start off with a rat-l-trap, spinnerbait, or if you are fishing shallow a 1-minus. I like to keep a rain suit close by this time of year. You never know when the weather will take a turn for the worse.

Planning my first fishing trip of the year this weekend. Trying to put a list together of everything that I will need.

I have worked with a lot of managers in my 27+ years with the company. From reading what you have said, it sounds like mgmt didn't like what was going on either, but they didn't have the backbone to say anything about it. I have seen many managers that want the title and perks, but don't want to be confrontational with their employees. It also sounds like they gave you a reward by sending out to a client. I know of quite a few bosses that were on top one minute, and laid off the next. What happens today doesn't mean anything if you lose favor tomorrow.

Fishing in the rain is good. People that don't have rain suits clear off the lake.

For me its a toss up between Bull Shoals or Table rock.

I have seen this happen during hunting season also. The Game Wardens will set up a blockage across a parking lot and you can't leave until they have check your vehicle.

For a 1/2 ounce jig and smaller in light cover I like a MH. If I am fishing in heavy cover with a heavy jig I want a H rod.

This is just terrible.

The hail missed us, but we have flood warnings out from all of the heavy rain.

I have had some luck doing this, but mostly I go after the ones that I can't see.

Coldest I have ever fished was 35 degrees about 5 years ago. Back in '06 we were out pond hopping and the rain started coming down in buckets. About 2 hours later it turned to sleet.

If you would have said the bass was.caught on a barbie pole, I would have believed it.

When that happens to me I take out the camera and start taking pictures.

I was about 8 or so. I was throwing a shallow running, broken minnow around some fallen timber while my Dad was loading up the boat. I guess I was just playing around more than anything else. A good sized bass hit the bait from the bottom and jumped with it. That bass threw the bait, but after that I was hooked on bass fishing. No more panfish for me.

I've been kind of slow. I only bought a buff, water mug, and last weekend fishing license.
