  1. Tubes. I have some in my tackle bag, but I always seem the grab the creatures or craws.
  2. Most of the time I fish a 3/8, 1/4, and 1/8 ounce jig. The weight depends on the wind and how thick the vegetation is. The heavier the vegetation the lighter the jig. As for as colors go, I let the light level determine that. Most of the time I'm using green pumpkin, black / blue, and black jigs. I will try to match the trailer to the skirt, but I don't want an exact match. I like a little contrast in the mix. I'll keep the sizes the same but either change out the trailer or hook it differently after about half an hour or so.
  3. 1. Don't hook your fishing partner. 2. Don't hook yourself.
  4. 1/2 ounce Cordell Super Spot in chrome / blue back or a 1/2 ounce Cordell Super Spot in copper craw.
  5. Between 4-1/2 and 6 pounds. That's a healthy looking bass.

Hope you have a quick recovery. My mom had shingles back when I was a teenager. She said it was the worst pain ever.
  7. I can think of one more. The bass can't see you through the muddy water so you can get a little closer to the cover they are hiding in.

    Welcome to the forums.
  9. It always seems like hunters and anglers are the ones finding human remains.
  10. I think it would be interesting to see how their top baits compare to our top baits for the same bodies of water.
  11. Well I needed a fire craw trailer to go with the vibrating jig, and the swim jig was in the bargain bin. What could I do?
  12. As long as you lower the anchor slowly, and don't fish right on top of it, you shouldn't have any problems. I use a 15# mushroom anchor. The 10# size wouldn't hold in gusty winds.
  13. Smithwick Rogue, Spro McStick, Rapala Husky Jerk, and the SK KVD 200.
  14. Probably a weightless plastic worm worked through the vegetation.
  15. The hard baits stay in 3700 boxes in a couple of cabinets. The soft plastics stay in their original packaging, and I keep them in old tackle boxes that I don't use any longer.
  16. A few years back I used fluoro for t-rigs and jigs. I didn't care for it and never used it again.
  17. I would consider this a very good extracurricular activity.
  18. Back in HS I worked at a grocery store, washed cars, cut grass, and worked at a restaurant. Right after HS, I didn't know what I wanted to do, so I worked as a laborer at a construction company owned by my Mom's cousin. I did that for a year then started college majoring in business admin. with an emphasis on finance and marketing. While in college I worked at another grocery store. After numerous interviews with multiple finance and marketing companies, one of my dad's friends hired me on at a aerospace / defense contractor company as a CAD operator working on second shift. During the day I was still working at the grocery store. It eventually closed about a year and half after I graduated. I switched departments after I got married, and was finally hired on as a full time employee, starting my career in Facilities. Over the past 37 years I have worked myself up to a project / construction manager running every type of job from ordering a new chair, to gutting an entire structure, and then building it back out.
  19. I'll take 95 over 10 degrees. The heat has never bothered me.
  20. Jitterbug, Lucky 13, and Crazy Crawler worked over the top of submerged vegetation.
  21. I'm still looking. Most of my crankbaits are baby 1 minus. Those things are killers. Strike King has a 1.5 shallow crank I'm looking at. I have a few of the BPS Eggs, but I haven't seen those on the BPS website for a few months now.
  22. I think I have fished with white the most. Followed by black when the water is murky.
  23. Finally, the third trip of the year was a charm. I got this one on a white 3/8 spinnerbait yesterday morning.
