Looking for a <6’6” casting rod
When I fish out of a canoe, I use a 6'4" Team All Star SBR1 rod. Perfect for what you describe, if you cant find a used one that 6'2" Avid should suffice.

Favorite trailer for Buzzbait?
I use the basic split tail trailer, and a trailer hook, unless it's a small buzz bait then nothing.

Sunglasses$$$!!!???
Not much difference. Green allows 12% light, Blue 10%. Blue is slightly better on bright sunny days, Green is slightly better on cloudy partially overcast type days but really not much different.

Yo-Zuri Hybrid vs. P-Line CX Premium
I've never seen Yo Zuri in a walmart here in Indiana but did see it in walmarts in Florida. It seems to be a location thing on what they perceive will sell, like Suffix lines I use to see them in my local walmart but no longer. I no longer use Yo Zuri, I use the Sunline Defier lines and they too are hard to find I just order from Tackle Warehouse when they have holiday sales or off of Amazon.

St. Croix guys.....your thought on this
I've been curious about how much backbone that 5"9" Avid rod has. I dock skip with a 5'6" Premier and I like it but wish it had a little longer rear handle. The Premier has heavier line/lure ratings.

My Budget BFS Review
Honestly if you want a good cheap aluminum finesse bait caster look for a used Pflueger Asaro on ebay. Probably $50 max. I have it on a 6'4" Team All Star m/f sbr1 rod. This combo likes 8lb test and light lures, I use it for river Smallies.

Which would be better for lipless crankbaits?
I've only been on Monroe once, I read they have been stocking bass and putting in habitats so I may try it again.

Good Topwater Walking Bait bait Cast Rod (under 7') ?
I like short rod/short handle for walking baits too. I use an old Team Daiwa S 6'3" topwater/twitching rod and it is perfect for this.

Which would be better for lipless crankbaits?
Here in the midwest in spring with pads and weeds emerging you can bounce or rip a lipless crank thru them and catch giants. I use a St Croix Premier 6'10" heavy/mod-fast rod with mono. That rod has good power but has some give too, rated for 1/4 to 1oz lures but is also now discontinued. Rest of the year I agree nothing but weeds and it is a pain to even try.

Lure selection for local tournament
Try a popper version frog, you could also go old school with a topwater spoon

Top Water : Pencil Popper vs. Spook Colors ?

Help me pick a spinning reel <= $100
I didn't think Shimano or Daiwa were part of TW's sales. Personally I like Daiwa Eliminator , but you said the BG is out and its basically the same.

Best, affordable 6'6-6'9" ML casting rod
Look for an old 6'6" TWS All Star rod. Perfect 1/4-3/8 popper rod . They show up on ebay and other sites regularly.

More versatile spinning rod
If you can only have 1, I would get the MH and have more backbone to get em out of cover.

Why hard to find CX Premium?
I've used both and floroclear breaks easier, I'd go CX if it were me.

Strike King Rage Tail Craw Alternatives
I catch more with the Netbait Paca craw than the SK Rage craw, but they tear even easier.

Favorite White Bird
Ya I like the egrets too, they know how to catch em.

Is the Shimano Citica being discontinued
The SLX reels I have remind me alot of the Citica 100dsv reels I use to own, just a newer version with different paint job.

Your Height vs. Rod Length... does it matter?
I'm 5'5" and with jerkbait/spook type lures a short rod helps I use a Team Daiwa 6'3". I slap water with anything 6'6" and up. Otherwise no need to use shorter rods than a taller person.
-
Clear water mono wt.?
You will cast light lures further and crankbaits will run deeper so maybe. Moving lures bass are typically not as line shy, except maybe with noisy braid, and if you are not already maybe try the ghost colored lures.

7' Jerkbait Rod
How tall are you guys? , any rod over 6'6" and I am slapping water, but I am only 5'5". I also like short handles for these rods.

Gander Outdoors?
The one in Lafayette, Indiana always seemed busy as did the Sportsman's Warehouse it replaced but both shut down. They did once have like 100 Shimano Citica Es on clearance for $89.99 and I bought a few, but they also had Hummingbird 700 series sonars on display at full price 4 years after they were discontinued ..it just wasn't run well but had some good deals at times.
