Falcon Rods
Fuji is an Asian company though so of course their guides are made there, Falcon is now just a name.

Falcon Rods
Same story here. I have a few USA made Lowriders, not buying the Chinese made ones, but I really liked the old ones.

SLX A anyone have one? Thoughts?
Well the SLX and Tatula both have alot of variations, so yeah it can be confusing, and the "A" is just the new version of the original $100 SLX. Personally I like the old style VBS brakes on it like Shimano has had for 20 years or more.

SLX A anyone have one? Thoughts?
I have one, basically the same as the original SLX if you have had one. Smooth casting reel for $100, if it was me I'd save the money unless you need the higher line capacity of the Daiwa.

Pop R P71?
Isn't that one designed for salt water? Juvenile tarpon will definitely smash a popper.

X rap vs shadow rap?
X rap is a good JB and catches em. I like the original floater Rapala too, like what was said around pads or shallow grass works really well for finicky bass.

How is Quantum still alive?
Doesn't Quantum still sponsor Bill Dance? He is just as popular as ever so that helps the brand get a few sales.

Better Kastking or Piscifun?
Kastking Kestrel gets good reviews for that casting reel for light baits though I think I'd go ahead and look for a deal on the older version SLX MGL.

Line weight/rating on St. Croix rods
I'd go with braid that measures about the same as typical 14-25 lb mono. For instance Suffix 832 65lb braid measure .40mm just like their 17lb mono. I'd run some leader material also.

New Johnny Morris Signature Series casting rod
If only they made them with full cork handles I would have bought one too. I have ST Croix SCIV rods I bet these are just as sensitive.
-
Daiwa Fuego SV
They were sold in the Aussie market as some of their big ebayers were selling them.

Terminator Brand Finished?
They were all on clearance at Cabela's a few days ago. Either they are introducing all new lures or ending the line.

New 2024 CarbonLite rods and reels
The Cabelas I went to had the reels listed as "carbontech" next to the old ones listed as "carbonlite", but anyway I noticed the external brake that looked like a Shimano, but bought a Daiwa SV. They had the new sweet looking St Croix Avid rods too, hope they bring back a few models.

St. Croix BassX Action Question
F on a Bass x should be the same as a Triumph, however the MOJO line is also on clearance if you swing a few more $ it's a more sensitive rod.

Shimano SLX
SLX is a great reel at $99 or less for the original one(it's on sale in places) not sure how much if any better the new SLX A is but I am about to purchase one and find out .

Is this a legit St. Croix site?
No I wouldn't be, I own 20 bc and spinning reels, it's not my point at all.

Is this a legit St. Croix site?
No @zell_pop1, building a new plant - ANYWHERE - to make a couple of reel models is not feasible, regardless of whatever brand name you want to badmouth. Maybe years down the road when they're making dozens of products it might make sense, but not when you're just starting. Even then, MANY well-established brands follow this same business model, even the ones with large product lines. So please, bash them all for it. Knock yourself out. And yes, it is their designs and tooling. Don't want to believe it? That's your prerogative. No jobs were "lost". SEVIIN is a new product line. There weren't any SEVIIN jobs prior to their existence. Ergo, new jobs were created with the new brand, including new jobs in the U.S. but I'm sure you'll find a way to bash that too. Yep, we get it. You despise St. Croix and SEVIIN. You've made that abundantly clear. And you're dead-set on that. Message heard and received. Just be sure to group all the major rod-and-reel brands in your hatred because they are all following these practices to one degree or another. Thanks Hey @Glenn if you would actually read my posts you would have seen that I both said the Seviin reels are probably decent and I hope they do ok as a site sponsor. All I said was why don't they just expand the facility they already have as that makes good business sense. I never claimed they should make brand new factories or that anyone lost jobs, only that I know how outsourcing works when your posts treat myself and others like 12 yr Olds. Nor do I despise St Croix, I have 5 of their rods they are great and their customer service is good. Do I think Seviin reels are just a new name on an OEM reel? Yes.

Shimano
Always love the 100 DSV as well, had a few of them.
