  2. Thanks, PM me what comes up of it. We love getting more schools involved.
  3. Yeah and tons of work. We've got a seminar this Sunday at Atwood High School in which we are going to talk about collegiate fishing. All of the proceeds benefit their HS fishing team. Edit : here's their flyer http://www.illinoisbassnation.com/pdf/2014AtwoodFlyer.pdf
  4. We contact as many schools as possible and attend many fishing shows and talk about the tournament. If you know any coaches or any kids interested please send them the information. We normally get about 20 boats from northern IL schools but we would like to increase that number to 30 this time around.
  5. Hi all, We are proud to announce that we, the Illini Bass Fishing Club, will be hosting our 3rd Annual High School Open April 6th on Clinton Lake. This tournament is open to all high school anglers even if their school does not have a club established. Last year we had over 300 people at the weigh in along with 68 boats and 136 competing anglers. We also gave away over $2000 worth of prizes to the anglers that placed 1st-10th as well as Big Bass. If you have any questions feel free to message me or call the numbers listed on the flyers below. Also check out our article on Bass Master! http://www.fightingillinibassclub.com/uploads/6/5/1/8/6518616/third_annual_ibfc_open_1.pdf http://www.bassmaster.com/news/college-team-hosts-high-school-tournament

  7. Check this one out http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/129539-cabelas-fishing-back-pack/?hl=backpack It wont fit everything you want it to but I got 5 or 6 3600 size boxes and a gallon size bag of plastics . You'll realize you dont need the kitchen sink when bank fishing.
  8. The older kvd tour that are on sale at the good ol T W are junk. Havent gotten my hands on the new ones. Didnt realize they put those out.
  9. You aren't going to find an all around bass rod that is ML. I would go with a 7ft M fast for an all around rod that will do most finesse applications. Using a ml is going to decrease the types of topwater baits you can throw as well. I would go with the st croix avid AVS70MF or AVS70MLF if you want that ML. Put the rest towards baits or new line.
  10. The kvd quatum reels (all levels) are awful. Thats why most places are clearing them out. I got a $150 rod for $40 bucks. I like it for the price but if I paid $150 I would take them both back.
  11. Give your stuff to High School or even collegiate anglers they'll use it for sure.
  12. Your design is pretty innovative. I also like the spinnerbaits from advantage bait co. http://advantagebait.com/spinnerbait_details.html Their blades are etched pretty cool and their quick change technology is something most spinnerbaits lack. I can buy one bait and several baldes and have a few different baits.
  13. I never fished the duckett so everything would be a trial period. I have fished the mojo and have faith it it so 9/10 i would pick up the mojo. If I were a new buyer I would try out the duckett if the warranty is the same as the croix.
  14. I only peg my weight when punching or I feel that it is necessary. With a texas rig I like having the separation between the bait and the weight.
  15. x2 dont trust a small mouth to be there. Then again look at what palaniuk did on the river.
  16. Awesome reel got mine for sub $100 and its my favorite spinning reel
  17. Very weak hooks IMO. Broke a few hooks in the first pack I ever used and never used them again.
  18. Sorry man I cant hear you over the sound of freedom lol jk
  19. dont throw anything you cant live without. Lost plenty of lures in strip mines due to sharp rocks
  20. There really aren't the types of pictures I am after. I have a few on my phone but that gives up some spots I would rather keep hidden.
  21. Where can I find pictures of bank transitions ? I am trying to teach some guys a few things and pictures are better than words.
  22. zoom fluke, grub, swimming fluke, skinny dipper or little dipper
  23. send them a nice email and ask for a catalog. They'll send them for free
