Have had it for several months now. Gotta tell a little story that happened last Friday. A buddy and I were fishing an east Texas power plant lake. We were pretty much beating the banks and catching fish. Spotted a tree in the middle of the cove and went out to check it out. I got within about 30' of the tree and spotted a fish on the bottom about 6' to the right of the tree with my LiveScope and told my buddy. He made a cast to that spot and caught the fish on the first cast. A little later were coming up on a point as a guide boat was coming up on from the opposite direction. They went wide so we went close to the bank. As we were passing, I spotted another fish. I told my buddy (loud enough for them to hear) to cast at 11 oclock about 18' in front of the boat. He did and caught about a three and a half pounder. Needless to say the guide and at least one of his clients were in awe. I don't think the other knew what happened. The guide told him that I had spotted a fish in front of the boat and that my buddy cast there and caught the fish. LiveScope is the real deal! SE Kansas grass grower

Garmin striker series if you don't need built in maps. You can make your own maps while fishing and mark waypoints anytime. If you want built in maps, then the Echomap series is hard to beat. SE Kansas grass grower

The 92SV just has basemap. The 93sv has LakeVu HD mapping. The Striker series has no mapping. You can mark way points, trails as it has gps, but no contour mapping. If you get a chance run up to Bass Pro in Olathe and play with them. There is one guy there that is very knowledgeable about Garmin if you can catch him. I would go with the 93 sv plus because you have wifi, is touch screen and can add Panoptix and LiveScope which you can't with the Striker. SE Kansas grass grower

Actually the LiveScope system including black box and transducer is listed at $1499. I'm pretty sure that's what the original Panoptix PS21 started at. I really figured it would be around 2K after using it the last several weeks. SE Kansas grass grower

If your seeing lily pads then I got to believe you are in very shallow water. I would think it would be difficult to 'see' any fish with clearvu or traditional 2d. Your cone coverage can't be more than a couple feet. SE Kansas grass grower

Be sure your plugins are completely plugged in. Your power and your transducer cable. On those you have to give them a little extra push sometimes. SE Kansas grass grower
