i have 2 zillions and 1 fugo .... i love bolth reels .... i have been oiling my zillions twice every season and once every winter .... i read the book too ,,, however if you plan on oiling every trip out the oils in your reel will build up over time ..... so i geuss this is why i olny oil a few times a year ....

have you ever seen anyone tossin a swimbait in those waters ???? if not you may wanna ,, there could be 5lbers in there or even bigger ... most big fish eat little fish .... just a thought ,, you may wanna toss a baby bass or gill see what you can do ....

why not try a daiwa alphas or a prixy ..... update the drag with carbonex and you should be fine ....

fluke those are some hoggs ,,,, your killin them .... where those bass of beds or where you just swimming them along ??? ive been using the baby bass and baby perch .... ive caught a few ,,, nothing like your hoggs tho ....

the best swimbait you can buy at a great price is the mattlures .... there are so many swimbaits out there to pick from now days ,,, i still believe youd be hard pressed to beat the baby bass series by mattlures .... and the price isnt bad for the quality swimbaits you will recieve .... as you can see matt really takes his time to sell a great little bait

if no one is using a sent on a crank bait how can we tell how good it works ?????? i was just thinking i wonder if shad leave a sent trail behind them as they swim ???? or what about a injured or bleeding shad ,,, does it leave a sent trail ???? maybee a sent on a crank is a great ideal ???? someone should try this .....

i just baught 5 bags of the big shot tubes ,,,, i wanna try skippin docks with these fatty tubes .... i will also see if i get bit tossin these on beds in the spring .....

i had picked chuck to win ..... the olny reason why is due to the pride fighters all having bad openers in the UFC ,,,, well excpt rampage he won but it wasnt pritty ..... i do see chuck and silva fighting again ,,, in the next match up i believe wanderlay will win ..... as for GSP he is the man .... i expect serra to retire before he ever faces GSP ..... i also execpt hues to retire as well ..... i think we all know serras win over gsp was luck to say the least .... serra doesnt want to see hues or gsp again ...... i believe GSP is a huge road bump in that weight class .... who will be able to deal with GSP ???? i dont see any one giving GSP a good fight not even KOS ... imo hes the next best fighter in that weight class .....

i like to use bolth as well .... there are a few factors tho .... i like the horney toad or ribbit when fishin patchy slop ,,, where i like the spro for thick slop ..... also look at the fish activity ,,, if there willin to chase a bait the horney toad is a great way to cover water ..... i will keep bolth rigged at all times from late june on ,,, you never know it is fishin and not catchin ......

i have to say the spro frog bar none ..... its the olny one imo ..... id be willing to bet some guys here dont have the hook set down ,,,, and others may not be useing the right gear to get a solid hook set .... my hook up ratio is almost 100 with a frogg i do miss one here and there .... i dont tweek the hooks at all nor do i trim the leggs ..... i do slime the frog up with mega strike ...... this will help getting the hook sets ./..... IMO

i would get them on the phone .. asap .... you shouldent be venting ,,, you should be mad .... first there is no way id pay the shipping charges ..... seconed why would they send you that reel .... id have to hear from them why .... thirdly since the reels box was fine it didnt seem to be a fed ex mistake .... that leaves them .... i mean they sent you the reel ..... get them on the phone ..... i just hate when this stuff happens ..... iv been real lucky ,,, at any rate most retailers will take care of you .... if you talk to them .....

ok you need a starter muskie rod ..... get the fig rig ... there not bad from what i hear ,,, and im in muskiee and pike country ..... the guy i talked to said the st croix rods where sweet ,,,, however he also had the fig rigs on his boat ... he said bang for the buck the fig rig was the way to go .... he also said he wouldent trade his croix rods for nothing .... so i geuss its a how you take it thing .... at any rate the fig rig is more than what your lookin for ... ive seen them here in local shopps for 60 bucks .... they didnt look bad at all ....

i believe you should still get the okuma .... there is a 7ft6 med heavy that would serve you well ///

i just use my baitcaster for skippin ...... i havent had a spinning rod for the last 2 seasons ,,, so i had to learn with my caster ..... i would have used a spinning rig if i had one .... altho now i know how to skip with my caster .....\ id recomened the legened tourney bass rod for skipping ... i have a few of the ltb rods and really like the ones i have .... they also now have split cork ....

i use the zillon ,,,, love it for froggin ..... as for the size of the reel and weight you may wanna play with one befor you buy ..... i my self love this reel due to the frame and size of the reel ...

who knows ... quantam isnt a bad co.. i had a pt x metal the blk one .... it was a sweet reel ..... a work horse ... i do agree with the weight factor .... i believe they need a reel that is smaller framed and liter in weight .....

i use the chug minno ... i really like the chug minno ..... i like being able to fish this bait a few different ways .... you can pop it like a poper or walk it like a spook ,,, or bolth on the same cast .... i also have a ton of the spro props .... i really like these baits also .... i know this summer ill be able to lite them up with this bait .... then theres the spro frog ..... a killer bait ,,, also the best frog out there ..... if you seen this bait on sale its more than likely the new colors are coming and ive been waiting for that lepard frog ,,, toad ,,, clown .,,, and theres a brown and purple one that looks killer .... i cant wait ..,,.,.

the spro bronze eye frog is the olny frog ill throw .... yea the paint will get chewed off ,, thats because they get bit .... if your frog begins to take on water ,,, check the nose of the frog it has to be sealed to keep water out ... if the nose isnt sealed use a slyicone gel to reseal the nose to the line tie .... guys need to understand how nasty those frog bites can be .... i had a bass smak my spro he ripped the nose all the way down and coverd the hooks with the rubber from the nose .... then he didnt let go til i had right up on shore ,,, so i could get a good look at this pig ...... you win some you loose some ..... i had trouble with the hook sets also .... the best thing to do is wait till you know they will be on a frog .... when you know there on the frog bite hit the water .... Just bring the frog couple days of this your hook up ratio will go through the roof .... ive had more than a few days i hooked ever bass that bit that spro .....

that sounds like a nice rig .... i mainly fish the st croix rods however i do have a okuma rod ..... ive been lookin to replace the okuma rod with a dobyans 795 ml ,,, swimbait rod .... let us know how the rod preforms .... ;D

most guys i know are using the p-line cxx ..... i know most are using the 20lb .... i fish in wisconsin so we dont have the donkees that they do in cally ,,, ive been using the p-line cxx 17lb moss green .... i dont mind this line when toosin the big baits .....
