  1. Watching this Bears team play right now...at home..I'm not confident they can do much of anything on the road no matter who the face. This is going to be one tired defense next week...edit..if they can win.
  2. I went on quite the buying spree of the BDS2's before people caught on and wanted 40-50 a piece. It's impossible to find them for anything reasonable now.
  3. The DRS is the "deep rattle sound". sounds like a faint one knocker. They're also still under a lot more quality control scrutiny than the silent 1.5. The LC silent 1.5 isn't the same as the old RC/RTO 1.5s. Same mold. Nowhere near the quality control they used to have. A few years ago they introduced this inexpensive 1.5 as a "customer appreciation" and it just kind of stuck around. It's not a bad bait but it isn't the same as the old ones. Not sure what's going on /w Lucky Craft. A lot of their really popular baits like the BDS and RTO series have just disappeared.
  4. The bears only scored 15 points against a below average defense. Mitch threw 3 picks and Gurley was a decoy /w some foot/leg problem the whole game. They're 5-3 on the road and they have only thrown 9 TOTAL passing TD's the entire season on the road and only average around 200 yards passing. Chicago averages just under 25 PPG on the road. If you throw out the outlier 41-9 beating of the hapless Bills, they only average 20 PPG on the road...The rams average 37 at home. Gurley and Tablib are healthy and I just don't see a scenario where Mcvay has been given 2 weeks to prepare against a team he just faced that doesn't have the Rams putting up 30. IF the Bears make it to LA, I have zero doubt the bears will their tails kicked right in.
  5. Visit ebay a few times a day and hope it says "pop up sale". That's all you can do. I get email's about the sales but it's usually after it's already started.
  6. The lucky craft website is outdated and has tons and tons of models listed that are either discontinued or aren't available in the US This is what you want: https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Lucky_Craft_LC_Silent_Squarebill_07__15__25_/descpage-LC15.html
  7. I've had the same reel for over a year. Mine's made a faint "woosh" noise if I reel it really fast with nothing attached. On the water it doesn't show itself. It's normal. I polish all the internals of my reels. Still a super smooth reel. If you're worried about it just return it for a new one.
  8. I use a mixture of Wiha and Wera. Both have precision sets that have a size that will pull out that Daiwa Death. The set's are around 25$ and worth every penny.
  9. Thanks for making this another good year guys. Payouts have been made last night too the winners. See you next year!
  10. Take the rubber seals off or they will rub the spacer/handle knob. Box cutter blade pops it right out. Those bearings come packed /w some third world grease that takes forever to come out. I use Daiwa blue oil on my handle bearings. It's a little thicker than the hedgehog long cast I use on spool bearings and seems to last. I wouldn't grease them. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a handle bearing.
  11. I've had some that are still going after a couple years and others that rust out. The biggest thing /w these cheap bearings is to clean the absolute tick out of them and they will spin like a top. I've come to like the RC car Traxx handle size bearings from amazon. They have a black rubber shield that easily pops off and I run them through an ultra sonic cleaner a few times and they spin really well.
  12. I replace all the bushings with bearings. My take on quality vs quantity is handle bearings I can stomach to go the cheap route on via amazon. You can get a 10 pack for 5$ and they are replaceable if/when they rust/fail. I've had high end handle bearings rust/fail in a year so I don't bother spending the extra on a "quality" handle bearing anymore. Frame bearings however, I will spend for. For my reels that are in the 350-500$ range, I'll get w/e frame bearings needed from Hedgehog. Anything else I buy the bulk SS packs from Boca. I'm not a fan of boca spool bearings but their frame bearings (levelwind guide, drive shaft, pinion, etc) have not failed me yet and have shown to be super smooth out of the pack. Spool bearings are all ZPI SIC and Hedgehog ZR's. I do have a CT that I still use. The levelwind bearings were put in place of the bushings and the spool bearings were replaced as well. Super smooth reel.

It's called vertical jigging and it's been around the walleye circle for decades. Watch some youtube videos on vertical jigging and it will explain it a lot better.
  14. Original D-Bait, WEC mutt and wobbler are about the only ones I use in cold water. If I get my hands on my jawjacker flats I'll add them to the list. MB Sonic side if I'm fishing around rock.
  15. Answer what question? You didnt ask one. You just gave a number of double digit fish you’ve caught as if thats a measure of somebodys fishing skill? If you’re asking how many double digit fish I’ve caught, the answer is dozens. If you’re asking how many double digit bass I’ve caught, the answer is zero. I live in NE Iowa, double digit bass don’t exist here...so again, what does that have to do with anything aside from pointing out you live in the South and I live in the North?
  16. What does that have to do with anything? And what rods do I use?
  17. And? Nobody asked what they used. Nobody said you have to use it. The question was a blank comparison. I'm sure there's a cool story bro thread somewhere on here you can gloat about how great you are without using the latest and greatest.
  18. It's the AR bearing. Usually takes quite a bit of force but you can push them out from the outside in..unless that particular reel has it molded in which would be odd.
  19. Nobody said it was “due to price”. The NRX blank is regarded as “the most sensitive” blank available. He asked if his options were the most sensitive available. They arent. I answered his question. Pretty straight forward.
  20. any HDS 9 mount will work. It's the same gimbal. Bolt patterns match right up. You're on a kayak so the 1.5in ball will be fine since you won't be in any rough water.
  21. No, the 200$ range isn't part of the most sensitive rods available but they're still good rods.
  22. The discount will be applied to all excluded products adter you check out . Megabass and minnkota do not get a discount. A few megabass baits are on discount this year though. Just call them and they will tell you how it works.
  23. @Siebert Outdoorsmakes the best ones. Dock rocker is dynamite in wood.
  24. No, it's not local. I got the ad as well. It's or Nov 21-25 It's for every BPS/Cabela's store. The Lowrance Elite9 TI /w Totalscan transducer is 599. The elite TI2 units are coming out. Cabela's/BPS frequently blow out electronics when new ones are coming out. For SI, always buy the largest screen you can afford. Get the 9 TI. It's a great unit and has sonar chart live capability /w the right map card.
