  1. +1 on the SK Kvd J300 in Ayu. Did very well in the spring with that color. Had pretty good action. Smithwicks are great too.
  2. It will, so don't bother. Like others have said, I don't cut mine down anymore. I used too but I only found that the stiffness cutting created, it pulled in more weeds with it. I just fan them our really good and that seems to work best for me.

  4. While I primarily use Shimano reels, I have a few outcasts from the bunch including my Smoke below. I added the 102mm Swept handle from Hawgtech and the Septon knobs. I have not had any issues with my reel going over 3 season with it now. Mine has been a solid reel, but I would probably still opt for a Shimano before buying another smoke. My issue with the smoke is the brakes are insanely touchy to adjust, which is why I've opted to use this as a punching/heavy flipping reel on my Dobyns 766c.
  5. Way to end the season! Good fish there bud!
  6. I've looked at these jerks quite a bit. This is a good confirmation of a quality bait. Good fish there speedcraw, thanks for sharing.
  7. Are you ready for some FOOOOOOOOOOOOTBALLLL!!! Nice Dwight!
  8. I use 80# Cortland Spectron braid on my musky gear. Not sure if they even make it anymore but the amount I have wil probably last long enough for the amount of ski fishing I get around to.
  9. in the Red Eye series. Red Craw, Chili Craw or Tomato . Sexy Shad, Pearl. Blue Gill Those are really the only lipless I use because they're fish magnets.
  10. I just responded to your PM before I saw this. I was only interested in one so if you can't split I understand. Good luck with the sales.
  11. Bucktails are a staple in musky fishing. Get some Mepps Musky Killers or Maribous make sure the hooks are nice and sharp. You'll get a follow or a fish on soon enough.
  12. Maico has some neat tackle. I'd like to see your entire collection.
  13. No, that's why she gave me twin boys.
  14. Core 100mg7 / DX 745c Retail $750 Paid around $450 (both brand new)
  15. Bluegill colors are a staple all year in Wisconsin. Try some Sk Caffeine shad in smokey shad and KVD magic. Jigs are always good as well as hollow belly swimbaits. I wouldn't worry about color a whole lot. The bass are ready to feed.
  16. I use my 150Hg for my square bills and wake baits on a Dobyns 705cb glass. I have a hard time setting this down as I always want to use it. (when I actually get to fish that is......)
  17. That's pretty bizzare. Doesn't sound good at all.
  18. That is my frog reel. I can bomb a frog with it, plenty of power, plenty of spool capacity, and an upgraded drag for $8.00. This will be my frog reel for life until I physically destroy it some how.
  19. It's to keep the bait from sliding back down the shank.
  20. Spending our hard earned money on something we love is what makes us happy. Perhaps we all have too much money? Lol
