  1. I think when it comes to bass they rarely hit a lure again after actually being hooked. Pickerel are a different story though, they are absolute idiots. My dad's friend said (not 100% sure if this happened) he was thrwing a shakey head, hooked up, line snapped... Throws back in same spot hooks up and lands a bass with the same shakey head in his lip that he had just lost...
  2. He might as well suit up for the Bruins series...
  3. I think heading into playoffs the penguins were the best team in the NHL. I know that the majority thought it was the blackhawks but I honestly thought they were a small step away from being the best in the NHl. And after seing the Bs absolutely smoke the Pengs it's kinda a hard argument to make but thats just my thought. Not taking anything away from the Blackhawks though, they are an extremely talented buch- Offense, Goaltending, Physicallity... Can't wait to see the Chicago O go against the Bruins D...
  4. My PB was caught on a baby bass spook (profile pic), My favorite colors for topwater are black and white... But what it really comes down to is, is the bait going to trigger a bite. And heck a bright pink topwater bait might get the job done or maybe a neon green who knows... It is honestly about confidencde and I have confiedence in black and white on the surface...
  5. Hopefully we can each get a big one this weekend!
  6. Got out for 2 and a half hours today, couldn't buy a bight!!!! I was very surprised... Still can't wait to get back on the water for my next journey!!
  7. The reviews scared me once I ordered it, and yeah got the left for $50
  8. Boston! - I think it will be a very good matchup, with two good goaltenders and two teams that have been generating good scoring chances in the conference chamioship... Gunna be a great Stanley Cup! (To be honest I was sitting in my trigonometry class and the day of game 1 versus the Penguins said we were going to sweep them... LOL I guess sometimes you just get lucky)
  9. Small spoons that you would use for trout like phoebes would also do the trick.
  10. I find perch will hit anything resembling a minnow 2 to 3 inches long. So jerkbaits, live shiners, crankbaits, even small topwater poppers will do the trick. If your fishing in deep water for them throw a crank or a small jig head with a small grub rigged with the hook exposed. Night crawlers will also do the trick- bobber or split shot
  11. Just ordered a quantum antix from TW, anyone like, dislike, etc. this reel... Any personal experience with reel will be appreciated
  12. Sweet pics and sounds like a nice day... I was inside doing homework
  13. Great place to throw a frog in my town was drained last year...
  14. If it has a brand new Shimano Curado its mine....
  15. Dark colors for soft plastics... Black is my favorite
  16. Remember when hooking them in the mouth or nose, only go through the top lip if you hook it's mouth closed than the shiner can't "breath"... Try hooking the upside down as well, they move pretty crazy to try to get themselves upright
  17. I tend to hook them through the mouth for 2 reasons... 1 they don't get killed from the hook as easily, and 2 you have cleaner hookups... Another way would be to hook the shiner right below its dorsal fin, but not far enough to hit it's spine. This way results in the fish to die sooner and more gut hooks for the fish...
  18. I'm planning on going sunday, FlyFisherman hasn't gotten his work schedule yet so ill text you later this week.
  19. My friend caught something that looked like it last time we were down...
  20. Exactly... It was a lot of fun catching 2 pound smallies of beds on Winni and want to get some more before they are off their beds... Prob go sunday
