  1. I do too .
  2. I feel the same way .Having to tie three knots is a pita. I use a 3/4 to 1 ounce weight and rubber stops have not held the weight in place .
  3. I dont do a lot of jerkbait and tube fishing here so it was a fun changeup . Jerkbaiting wore me out , the tube fishing 20 foot deep was fun . When in Rome do as the Spartans do .
  4. ...but if you do happen to see fish signals that resemble spaghetti ...
  5. Purples number one , blueberry number 2 .
  6. I dont do much now days but I used Lizards and French Fries the most .
  7. I think thats it .
  8. That looks like it . It was given to me and it caught fish . Just want to know what it is .
  9. This jerkbait has no markings . There is a copper cylinder inside and a weight transfer system . Anyone recognize it ?
  10. Just Returned from Bull Shoals . It rained half the time and my camera was steamed up from the inside so I couldnt get a good photo . . Heres a Largemouth and smallmouth I caught there .
  11. Just got back . Did so-so . Caught all three species of bass using suspending jerkbaits around shoreline cover. Caught smallmouths 10 to 20 foot down on bluff outcroppings with tubes and a 1/8th ounce head .
  12. Cant see it very well . Resembles chara . Chara is a complicated form of algae that grows in water with a high lime content . It has a skunky odor and no root system . If you cast into it and keep bringing a lot back , even with a Texas rig , it might be chara . Google it . Its difficult to fish . I use spinnerbaits in pockets , edges and areas where it doesnt reach the surface . If its matted up , then I use toads and frogs . The Stanley Ribbet is my favorite .
  13. I have never caught a fish on that type of spoon . I had a school of bass located on a point a few years back . I was catching a few with a worm and decided to give a Krocodile spoon a go at it , figuring it would flutter like a dying shad that they were keying on . Nothing , zilch . I just havent been able to get them to work . I have caught loys of bass on jigging spoons though .
  14. I dont think my digital Rapala scales are very accurate . I caught a five lber the other day that the scale read 4.3 .
  15. My Guntersville lineup Christie Blaylock Downy Canterbury Weidler
  16. I.5 foot visibility is good, sometimes I fish in 1.5 inches of visibility . If I was fishing that pond , that has heavy pressure , I'd take a spinning rod some grubs and jigheads .

These are a lot prettier than mine . I dont even paint the heads . I will add nail polish eyes at time , if I feel like it .
  18. The waters I fish change all the time and so do the productive baits . One year jigging spoons got hot . I used them all summer and fall that year , then havent caught bass on them since .
  19. I have a bag of those . Never used them .
  20. I use to be a texas rig jig man but anymore I'm throwing spinnerbaits and crankbaits an awful lot .
  21. Looking at Lake Candlewood with Google Earth , i come upon this . What the hey ? Is this a boating accident ?
  22. I had first and fourth but that was offset by 66th ,83rd and 94th .
  23. Berkely Dredgers dive to advertised depth with 12 lb Big Game . I have all sizes and have caught bass as deep as 22 to 24 foot with 25.5 Dredger . Norman Deep little N's are a good bet when fishing around 10 foot .
  24. I wear sun block on arms legs and face . I'll remove my shirt for only about an hour at a time . I cant apply sunblock to my back . I try to keep an even tan but end up with a mild farmers tan .
