  1. I fished them for decades .They use to come in a larger size, I found some of the large 3/8 or 1/2 oz Beetles a few years ago , at a mom and pop store. I added the spinners and caught a bunch of bass with them. If 10 year old girls and catch bass with them then we all can.
  2. I still havent used a Rage bug. I'm trying to go through the heap of plasticsI have accumulated through the decades. I'll never use them all.
  3. I listen and also try to read between the lines.
  4. Last time I got into a school of white bass, they were mixed in with drum , blue cats and channel cats. I was bouncing a 1/4 oz Red Ey Shad in about 10 foot of water on a flat. Gulls gave away their position.
  5. My dad was a crappie and catfish angler, The only bass lure I remember him having is a L&S jointed minnow
  6. Oh , I was also told I was cancer free.
  7. Just got home , doing well. The procedure didnt go smoothly. My lungs were straning to hard so they had to pause the operation five times to give them time to rest. Next day My O2 Sats were low and they couldnet bring them up. They had to place me on a ventilator for two days. When they took me off the Sats were stable then they turned the corner I recovered quickly. I'm home now with much relief. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.
  8. One of the largest bass I ever caught came under a school of carp gulping on the surface . I threw a Long A Minnow past them an started ripping it , trying to snag one. Big bass was under them and nailed it.
  9. You have an all star lineup that I would have thought excelled in this event in these conditions. I think these veterans are so intimidated by the young anglers that they lost their way. They cant complain about ffs after this event . Trey , Kyoya and the rest kicking their butts at their own game.
  10. I dont visit the Everything Else page often. This is the first I've heard about this. Good Luck Catt. I'm going through Esophagus cancer right now. Monday they are removing the esophagus, splitting the stomach , creating a tube making a new esophagus. It will be a lengthly recovery.
  11. I dont recall ever losing a buzzbait but its probably happenned. I usually wear the prop or rivet out.
  12. Hackney, Christie, Swindell all in the 90's on the Sabine. So much for expierence.
  13. I have one in tthe top 50 "Feider" with Christie and Hackney in the bottom 10.
  14. I still subscribe. Been doing so since the 70's . I dont read it cover to cover anymore. They use to include a decent hat.
  15. Fishing in mud. I can relate to this. I wonder if anyone is using a black spinnerbait with copper blades?
  16. Hows it going? I got the bad news a month ago and having a medical procedure done monday. It will be a long recovery and life changing .
  17. Feider Mosely Christie Hack Kemura
  18. The deepest I have caught bass is 40 feet. Rarely do I go past 20 but it happens occasionally. The waters I usually fish are not clear.
  19. My favorite commercial buzzbait is the Original Lunker Lure. 1/2 oz with a skirt , 3/8th oz with a swimbait ; I like a swim bait with the 3/8th oz for the extra weight . I cast it better on a 7" mh rod. The 1/2 oz I just use a skirt. The swim bait makes the bait to heavy causing errant cast.

Did any of year hear Tyler Rivet say he wonders how this tournament would go if they had to weigh the fish in. Hinting that they may be recatching some of them.
  21. Ive cught bass with baby turtles in them . I'm not referring to a single turtle slipping in the water. I'm referring to a lot of turtles scurrying in. I have always fished said logs but dont expect to catch anything from them . Thats just been my expierence . YMMV.
  22. When you approach a log with turtles and they all jump in, do you go ahead and fish that log? I cant remember ever catching a bass after turtles dive off a log.
  23. Another consideration is a vest. I wore a vest for fishing stretcehes of river wading and canoeing.
  24. I fish them just like a worm. Lizards too.
