Fall time is Bomber Model A time.

The gold buzzbait blades with a white or chartreuse skirt seem to have worked best for me. I wear those blades out. A lot of people throw black. I throw black a night.

I dont get the math. There are over 100 anglers. Are they cutting 25 of them? I thought they were just cutting 10.

I bought a KastKing Assasin and had to send it back because the spool wouldnt engage. The replacement didnt last a season and I just threw it way. Now I have five Piscifun Phantoms. They work flawlessly. Smooth casting and reeling. My oldest has probably reeled in 1000 bass and it performs alomost like new. They outlasted in, terms of smoothness, all my name brand reels. I wouldnt be afraid of trying KastKing again.

DOA makes a short shank jig head that I like to use with smaller swimbaits . .

I throw them all on a 7f mh. Anything longer than 7 foot just dont fit in my truck, plastic boat or the rod locker of my Lowe.

Speaking of yellow, a yellow buzzbait catches the snot out of bass. I think color makes a difference.Lots of times I've seen bass choke a lure of one color then barely get hooked on a different color. If bass are barely being hooked I usually start switching colors .

Just when you think you have the answer the bass change the question.

I have quite a few metal lipped cranks that were given to me a few years back and have never fished them. I think most of them were the Hellbenders but not all.

I used the number 11 pork frog most of the time but would occasionally fish the spring lizard. Black jig brown pork or vise versa. I think I learned that color combo from Roland Martin. That little bit of contrating color worked well so I stuck with it.

The muddier the water the shallower the thermocline.

I always fish shallow in muddy water 10 foot or less, usually less. In clear water there are no limitations. I use to have a light meter , that Bass Pro sold. In muddy water, I'm talking just a couple of inches of visibility , the light meter showed zero just a few feet down.

I was thinking about lures that have produced more than their share of big bass for me. 3/4 oz Red Eye shad, Bomber Prop A, Rogers Big Jim, Arbogast mudbug, Blakemore CC spinner and others, then there was the jig n pig. Jig with a pork frog trailer , not plastic. I dont know what it is but the pork trailer caught a lot more big bass than plastic. My question is for you veteran anglers, did pork produce more big bass than plastic for you?

I burn a spinnerbait when a slower retrieve is not getting results.

Doesnt sound like you are tearing them up on a Texas rig either. just keep plugging away and the fish will come.

I have been fishing grubs , half plastic worms... on a jighead for decades before I heard of a Ned. I saved my used worms to put on a jig head. They all catch fish. Tubes and Flying lures are others that I use in the same places.I like to mix it up.

I would use it. I like the way the Terminator blades feel. The lures will unexpectedly break after a few dozen bass , at least the two I had did. I was able to recover the blades on one and those blades have been putting bass in the boat ever since. I pour my own baits and after about fifty bass I retire it and put the blades on a new bait.

Bass trac has two oz's seperating McKinney and Johnston.

I've cast the jigging spoons and hopped them back to the boat many times. Havent done it in years. Too many snags , not enough spoons.

I hope Zuke can somehow pull off AOY.

Might be shad. I saw a bunch of arches one time on a point. Could not catch anything. So I started ripping a jigging spoon off the bottom hoping to just snag one. After a few minutes I snagged a large shad.

Last time I saw busting bass I could not get them to bite , even throwing in the middle of the frenzy. But I picked up a worm , hopped it on the bottom and nailed a few.
