  5. Those small bass will be delicious . I eat them often. A lake I frequent has a slot limit and I harvest 11 inch bass . Deep fried with Andys red is a good way to prepare them .
  6. I understand what you are saying not being sporting . I remember when people started bringing cel phones to tournaments. Now, I was not competing against individuals , I was competing against teams. Not against the rules but not very sporting either.
  7. When I go to Cabelas , Bass Pro... I spend more time looking at terminal tackle than fishing lures. I cant leave the store without a pack of jig heads .
  8. When I first started bass fishing I caught some fish out of ponds . Then when I discovered Texas Rigged plastic worms the size and numbers sky rocketed . I was now able to fish right in the middle of the snags. Being able to fish in the cover was the single most important skill I learned .
  9. All the planted brush piles I fish at a couple local lakes attract bass. Every single one of them.
  10. I never use a trailer on a buzzbait.
  11. I dont mind him planting his own but where do you draw the line. If a sponsor sends a team out and plants brush piles then gives the GPS coordinates of brush piles to the pro , is that legal ?
  12. Then theres the times when you reel down to get a good hookset and the fish is swimming at you. So you reel in the slack and try it again and again . lol
  13. When I was a kid I was planning on fishing the mississippi river . There was a small water flow heading to a creek that came out of the sewage plant. I wanted to get to the other side and I could easily jump over it. I backed off a few steps then took off.My last step that was going to propel me over this black, stinky , gooey creek sank deeply in black , sticky , gooey mud. I landed face first in it. I did the walk of shame home , covered in black mud and stinking like a pig.
  14. Often I'll been fishing points with no cover and have little luck. Then the shad move over and the bass seem to appear out of nowhere.
  15. I have caught smallmouth on every soft plastic and jig I have tried. Like everybody else , cast upstream . Hula jigs are also good for big fish .
  16. I use several bags. Go to a goodwill store and look at the bag rack. I picked up a fantastic gear bag for three dollars .
  17. I have never caught a fish with a black tail like that. Is this water super clear ?
  18. I still have three of the original Lightning rods.. I still use them occasionally. 30 year old rods .
  19. Release it earlier. Aim at the sun .
  20. I have fallen off the front deck of a bass boat at least 4 times. The last time I was throwing a cast net and in I went .
  21. I use parasite clips. I can catch a lot more bass on one bait then I use too.
  22. The old honey holes I use to catch fish on are grossly overfished and I usually end up fishing the banks. sigh. The woes of a structure fisherman who is forced to beat the banks .
  23. I thought the splash well was a built in urinal .
  24. I'm guessing someone was fishing a curl tail worm and a bluegill bit the tail off. They cast it out and caught a bass and a light bulb turned on .
