  1. Thoughts on strategy . If there is someone highly picked like Bryan New inside of bucket E at almost 70%, do you think its smart to shy away from that pick for someone else in hopes of finishing ahead of the 70% or go ahead and pick him and if he stinks, then it doesnt hurt that bad because he stunk for 70% .
  2. Spring my top baits for big bass are jig n pork, I dont have pork right now . spinnerbait . Bomber Long A and Bomber Long A with tail prop .
  3. Larew Salt Craws have always been the top producing craw for me . Wal-Mart use to sell a Renegade craw and smallmouths devoured those things.
  4. I had it before the age 50. Sometimes fishing has to be put in hold to deal with life . Sorry about your Mother.
  5. Imagine being in an accident and they see your Fruit of the Looms in the emergency room . Sheesh! The horror.
  6. He wears flannel too .
  7. You were in good shape after day two . I made it over 50 percent . Good thing a lot of people dont participate every event or I would never see 50 percent. Lake Murray picks are in . I'm going with the Drew's, a New , Scott and a Brandon . Brandons know how to fish .
  8. I hardly ever see bass beds in the dirty waters I frequent . I'm fishing for largemouths and just go junk fishing shallow . Last year I caught a few spotted bass on an Ozark reservoir from beds with a tube but I had a difficult time getting them to strike .
  9. Swindle just said he could have caught a limit but he was fishing for larger bass to win . Thats a good strategy but you cant win if not fishing on day three .
  10. I dont drag baits often enough, most always I'm lifting. Caught a limit of pre spawn bass dragging a lizard in a tournament once while my co-angler blanked.
  11. One rod only. I like to be mobile .
  12. I get the back .
  13. Not very long . I'd run out of terminal tackle quickly . Spinnerbaits , buzzbaits , crankbaits , top-waters ... I have a life time supply.
  14. Hackney Cox Ito Rivet McCormick
  15. Oh' I didnt read it right . You fish by the landslides,?
  16. You know them better than me. When I see a bluff I turn my back to it and look at the other bank. There are no spots and very few smallies here so maybe thats the reason.
  17. Yes . I dont have much success fishing bluffs . Maybe I'm doing it wrong.
  18. Land with a small house that is liveable when the power goes out and a lot of ammo.
  19. One that comes to mind was in autumn and I found bass in the back of a creek stacked up in the remains of a silted in creek channel . I caught maybe 70 bass in that hole with a square bill crankbait . They were still biting when I left . No big ones but it was almost every cast.
  20. I fished tournaments for a couple of years in the 1980's .A cousin and I won 15,000 dollars in1986 and 1987. Every dollar came on a Texas rigged lizards. The BPS Squirmin Liz to be exact.
  21. I use to throw them a lot more than I do now . What will this year bring , who knows, lures get hot and cold for me . I just go with the flow.
  22. I use white and chartreuse in the spring . When the spinnerbait bite slows down I usually toss duller baitfish and bluegill patterns . I have no particular pattern , just something less bright.
  23. Id start out with crankbaits parallel to steep rocky banks, not bluffs. If that fails then just go fishing.
