  1. The "lessons" show airs next Sunday. Maybe KVD will be more specific.
  2. I have the Mojo 6'10, 7'4, and the 7'8 for my cranking. Mojo is a great rod in that price range. Also like Brian posted above, BPS's cranking stick is a great rod for the money!
  3. Only thing I could suggest is, learn another technique. Get what you need to apply that technique. I always try a new one every year.
  4. I fish PQ reels. I don't know much about the PQ rods. For the money, they are great reels. My current frog rod is a Falcon Lowrider 7'H. I have 2 jig rod. A 6'10MH Falcon Cara jig rod and a 7'3H Falcon Cara Amistad.
  5. Only $180???? LOL. I'd go with SK if I were starting out. They are good baits to start out with. Just make sure and get some quality replacement hooks. Go to their website www.strikeking.com and research what you like to purchase.
  6. Check these videos out. I prefer wire tied myself. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/how-to-tie-jigs.html http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/making-a-jig.html
  7. I agree with jhoffman. FLW sets up better for co-anglers also.
  8. I haven't been this excited since after our 2000 season. I am a Sooner fan and I am pleased. It really doesn't matter in the long run where they rank in recruiting. It is what you do with what you get!
  9. 1/4 oz swim jig. LFT magic shad trailer. Rub some megastrike on and in the skirt. Hang on!
  10. I almost forgot. I did a review on the bluegill grass jig that I used as a swim jig. Click on the link. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/119539-siebert-jig-reviews/#entry1306876
  11. I figured that you had a mold made. I'll be ordering some for sure!
  12. Blue gill, bloody shad, and smokin silver. Green pumpkin and some orange and brown colors as well. I basically have a 5 color limit with any of my lures including jigs. The first 3 are killer for me. For a trailer I use either a skinny dipper or a LFT magic shad. I purchase grass jigs to double as swim jigs. It doesn't matter to me if my swim jigs have eyes. Just a thought if you want to save some money. I have also used Rage tail baits as trailers to.
  13. I'd tie on a swim jig. Use either a boot tail or LFT magic shad for the trailer.
  14. x2 You can find the Falcon FTO on Ebay. It is usually the spinnerbait box or the terminal tackle box tho. I hated Falcon selling the rites to Plano. They did nothing but screw it up! All the FTO's are different dimensions. Falcon's dimensions were all the same except the thickness. The bait coffin by BassMafia is awesome. I can get tons of baits in one box.
  15. I seen those on your site! Are you modifying your molds or making you own? Also, I don't seem to remember if you epoxy your weedguards or pour around them?
  16. It's good to see some fellow Sooner fans on here! Order some. You won't be disappointed. Also, check out Mike's jigs. They are excellent! His price's on custom jigs are insanely low!
  17. A few bars and a Honky Tonk in Tulsa. One of the bar instances, I used the "C" word. If you want to go 0 to 100 in a bar, use the "C" word.
  18. I have 2 and I love mine. I was heartbroken when Falcon sold the rites to Plano. They had an awesome tackle system that I sunk a lot of money in. If I am not mistaken, Plano also has a spinnerbait wallet in their color. I don't know if it is worth a flip tho! Their FTO tackle boxes are no where near the quality that Falcon put into them.
  19. http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-XPS-Extreme-Trigger-Rods/product/11092205011616/ I'm thinking on picking the 7'10" model. I am going to start throwing swimbaits. It could be doubled as a Bama rig rod as well. I doubt I will ever be throwing anything over 8" to start off.
  20. You won't regret it man! Grand Lake an hour and a half from my house. We drove up to watch them take off. We then came back to Tulsa to eat a hearty breakfast then expo and the weigh in. The BOK Center is 15 minutes from my house. That is where the weigh in was located. I don't regret it one bit. The Super Bowl of bass fishing was in my backyard and I soaked it all up!
  21. It was in my backyard last year. Although I don't remember a schedule, there are tons of opportunities to meet a bunch of pros. Some of the past pros like Hank Parker and Bill Dance will be there I am sure. The pros that aren't fishing will be hanging out at the expo and the ones that don't make the cut will be there as well. They will be all roaming around. I would suggest being there when the expo opens. Take some extra bags for all the free stuff they'll be handing out. I went to the expo on Friday with my daughter. I went to Sunday's weigh in with my best bud and my son. We had a total blast. I was like a kid in a candy store!
  22. I have seen 2 fishing shows where the fish have passed the hook. The anglers pulled the hooks out and both said they'd never seen this before. I wish I could remember the shows. One may have been the kayak bass fishing show. I am not sure. I usually try and remove the hook. If I can't then I cut the line hoping the fish has a chance.
  23. Doesn't get any classier than that!
  24. I say it depends. Had I listened to what the BBB says, and not purchased an extended warranty on a transmission, I would have been out another 1700 bucks. Or I would have spent another $250 on a weedeater that I purchased. That warranty cost me $10. Some warranties are worth the money. Others are not.
