  2. I use Stick It poles .They work great, and wayyyyyyy cheaper than Powerpoles.
  3. I throw red traps all year long. My buddy throws a bright orange trap that he caught his pb on all the time.
  4. I did for years, but about 5 years ago just stopped doing it. this thread got me thinking about doing again.

  7. Gambler....Culprit....Zoom......junebug...red shad..black blue......green pumpkin....also a worm a local makes that are almost clear in color,has some green and red glitter in it. he calls it "critter" works great in clear water.
  8. they have been talking about paving the road for over 20 years......seems to hit a snag every time they try to start. what needs to be done is more enforcement when possible. I know the FWC is limited to manpower so the rest of us need to help when we can. have been fishing the area all my life and it's a shame when "jerks" make it bad for everyone. take pics when you can whenever you see a violation. I don't have a problem confronting someone when I have to. usually when I do that they go the other way. other time when they don't I start filming. that's when they really get up and go.
  9. this behavior has been going on down there in that neck of the water since the Stick Marsh opened. now they got new water to work so the stupidity continues. When I come across a basket I contact FWC and destroy it.

  11. I use a couple 6 foot pistol grip older TeamDaiwa Larry Nixon rods for spinnerbait and worms when in close quarters, bank fishing.

  13. I use 40 lb. for punching, heavy flipping. never had a problem.

  15. so far so good for this year..fished 8 times this year and caught them every time. but being in Florida helps.
  16. I made an 8 foot MHX blank heavy act. rod that I love. also have a 7'6" MHX that is part of my 3 rods for flipping, punching and pitching. I do a lot of that down here.
  17. I still have and use some Wee R crankbaits. they have some of the best finishes and colors still to this day. I still have a Rebel Blackstar crankbait. cool lure won't use it cause I will probably lose it. really cool bait.

  21. measure inside id then outside od then thickness in that order.good micrometers help.
  22. at least once a week....couple hours after work. sometimes when weathers not great will bank fish over taking out the boat. just gotta fish......
  23. caught 5 this morning on a Bomber jerk bait in 20 mph north winds and 50 degree temps. cold front over the last 2 days slowed it down a bit but the fish seemed to adjust nicely. will be at Headwaters on Saturday. temps should be back up to 80 ish .....
  24. 7'3" MHX casting rod Abu reel, Culprit Fat Max worm. 75% of my fish last year on this rig.
  25. the word I use is Whatever. Whatever it takes to get the job done.........
