  4. Stick Marsh was great the day after Thanksgiving. Took my son and grandson. Was going to go to Headwaters but it was a parking lot on the water. We pulled out and went down the road and had the lake to ourselves. Saw 2 boats the whole day and caught fish all day.,even thought the wind was howling.
  5. I get there about 30 minutes before sunrise. That will usually get you a spot.On the weekends you better be there an hour before sunrise.
  6. Have lifted weights since I was 12. Got involved with powerlifting at 19. did that till I was 30 when I turned to bodybuilding. competed till I was 42. have never not lifted or been involved with some sort of fitness program as long as I can remember.at 60 now and still squat 315 for reps. ticks the younger guys off at the gym when an "old guy" eats there lunch. still lift 5-6 days a week.still work 10-12 hours a day. staying in shape is way easier to get in when you are younger for sure. a few years back I had prostate cancer and had my prostate removed. Dr. told me to take 6 weeks off but after 2 I was going nuts and went back. he said the fact that I was in great shape that he gave his blessing. have been a mechanic for 45 years now and I still love what I do. so get moving and keep moving. you'll feel better, trust me.
  7. Lions got robbed........and I'm a Vikings fan !!!!!!!!
  8. for me it was the plastic worm.....the lure that surprised me was the Gambler EZ Vibe. that little bait caught me more fish when a worm couldn't get a bite. really was a great year numbers wise, not a lot of fish over 7 lbs. but had a great year overall. was very happy with my results. even won a tourney when I filled in for a friend who needed a partner.
  9. most of the time outside first like Catt said then work my way in.
  10. for me that's not a problem but a bonus......I live 5 minutes from the St. Johns River and 5 minutes he other way to the Indian river.......best of both worlds. thats why I live in Fl. best place besides southern Louisiana to be for salt and fresh at the same time. gotta love it !!!!!!! the other way not he.....my bad

  15. was there last week and they graded it. Will last until the next rains show up. which is this weekend, lots of it. just take it easy and you should be fine. always take my electronics off when going down that road. make sure also that your gear is stowed inside rod lockers etc. will get a lot of dust and dirt on everything. need to open a car/boat wash station at the end of the road. would make a killing.
  16. fishing wise....try to learn something every time I go. on the personal side, I hope to retire by the end next year. then I can fish more places that I want to.
  17. I'm a staple gun at best.......maybe a hot glue gun......
  18. same here......if I had to pick one to fish for the rest of my life it would be Okeechobee.even though my PB came from the Stick Marsh.
