  4. I'm even in Western Md so it's colder up this way. Buddies went ice fishing last Sunday. It measured 5" thick.
  5. Sucks to hear that. I invested just at $700 in a swimbait setup and baits a few months before the season ended. I've yet to get bit and it's discouraging but hopefully spring will change all of that. The Mattlures hardgill has me excited for pre spawn.
  6. My waters are gaint ice cubes.
  7. Good catch. Surprised nobody else caught it. Well looks like I'll be awake for the sale then haha.
  8. It's still up on the site but you can't add it to your cart yet. Been like that for 2 days now. It's first come first served starting at 9am until they sell out. Which will be quick. I'm sure some flippers will have them up for sale shortly after they receive them. http://www.huddbaits.com/store/bluegill

  15. Okay so you got a replacement tatula from BPS. How long have you had that one? Any grooving?I believe I've seen 2 people on BR with a grooved tatula. You're one and there was another guy. He says that he exchanged the reel and hasn't had any issues with the new one.
  16. 10,000/10 is just an example of how small the problem was. I've read it already. Nothing that hasn't already been said before.
  17. There were only a few cases when the reels were still kinda new. It was a tooling defect and it was there when you bought it. There have been no new cases in a good while. 10,000/10 like I said before.
  18. Exactly. He's always one of the first ones to say something about grooving but all he needed to do was send his reel in and get a replacement. It was a defect in tooling. There were 2 lines side by side. The worm gear moves the line guide back and forth. The line would never stay in one spot to create a groove. As someone mentioned it had a coating over the grooves. Daiwa rep "we have had only a couple"
  19. Must have me confused with someone but ...
  20. I buy packs of banded skirts or make one up at my local tackle shop. Then I use the small zip ties to secure them. They stay put and it takes no time to do.
  21. Any time sir.
  22. My guess is to keep it from digging in while you are spooling it. Dig in have cost me a few lost lures. Especially after pulling a snag free and forgetting to make an easy cast first. Now I just wrap the braid around my pliers a few times.
  23. Great! Now I have to go and buy all new hooks that are Mustad. I mean come on Kvd uses them. They have to be the best.
