Bass Anglers First World Problems
It's a somewhat new slang term. I just ate a 16oz Ny strip and all the fixings. I'm so full right now I can barely move. #truestory #firstworldproblems

Bass Anglers First World Problems
Examples - not having cell phone service. Battery is almost dead. Eating too much. Fuel light is on. So on and so on. Things we experience and make a fuss about but people in other countries don't even have that stuff.

Best Mono For Bottom Contact
You can get a 600 yard spool of Yozuri hybrid off Ebay for $7-12 depending on test and color.

Changes In Equipment Just For The People Who Must Have The Latest ?
None of my stuff is the latest or newest. I just buy stuff that I want. Which in the world of fishing is way too much. I'm a one of those who say you can't take it with you. My bills are current and if I die tomorrow I'll of went out happy. Okay that's a lie. It's winter and I wouldn't of been fishing.

How Long To Soak Bearings?
I use brake cleaner since I always have multiple cans in the garage. A few seconds and it'll remove any oil or grease. I do a quick spin on the end of a pencil and then a few minutes later add my 1 small drop of oil.

Cardiff Brake Setup
My cardiff 301 has 1 brake on. The spool tension knob doesn't do a whole lot with a 4oz bait hanging off the end. At least mine doesn't.

Transducer Mount For Kayaks
It's a great looking setup but at $87 it's a little steep. Lowrance has a scupper hole mount kit for around $35. I chose the diy method and used a piece of 3/4" pvc and a pool noodle.

Dressing Warm?
I can't stand the cold so I pack it up for the winter as far as fishing goes. Plus ice fishing would be my only option really. I got a pair of those Deluth trading co. fire hose pants that are flannel lined. Those suckers will keep you warm though.

Okuma Guide Select, H Or Xh???
The new hudd gill and the ultimate gill weigh 1.7oz. The rod loads ok with a bait of that weight. I throw the g2 shellcracker on mine. It'll also handle the 8" Hudd and the likes there of. Anything up to 3.5-4oz it does ok with. After that I'd go with the XH.

When To Use What Jig Head?
I throw 3 styles. Arky heads for flipping any type of cover. Bullet heads for my swim jigs in grass. Football heads for hard bottom. I've made myself 1/2 dozen of the 'snootie' head last year. It is basically a flip and swim mix. I'm slowly switching over to those so I only need to carry 2 styles of jigs and cover my needs.

I happened to be on eBay at the right time. It wasn't listed for very long. Jumped on that right away.

Td-Z Conundrum
Unless it's some super rare gem then it's getting fished. If it was a super rare gem then I wouldn't be able to afford it anyhow. Unless I stumbled across it at some yard sale or something. So I'd fish it and enjoy it.

Rod Sleeves
I have a few made by rod glove but after I realized how simple they were I just made my own. It's about 1/2 the price and gave me freedom to adjust the length for certain rods.

I'm Becoming A Gear Head... Help!
Then at some point you discover spool upgrades, gear swaps, drag upgrades, flashy parts, faster bearings that aren't needed, ect Then stuff really starts to go downhill fast. The bait monkey starts twisting you like a sponge to squeeze every last drop of $ out of you.

New Hudd-Gill
I'm with you on that. If he offered a weedless gill I'd have no reason to pick these up.

One $200+ Rod, Or Two $100 Rods?
I'll give a +1 for Cashion rods. It was my first rod that I purchased that was considered a 'expensive' rod to me. They're super light and the sensitivity was great. The carbon grips are very nice and don't get slick when wet. Only warning I'll give is if you fish a leader. Those guides are tiny and a leader knot might be an issue on it. Edit - I just scored a new champion 733 off that auction site for $129.95 with free shipping. Keep your eyes open for good deals and you can really get yourself a nice rod for less than retail.

How Much Soft Plastic To Carry On The Banks?
Only you can be the judge of that question. I carry close to the same amount in my backpack when I'm bank fishing. I generally use 1/3rd of them. BUT WHAT IF that one day I don't have it with me. I'm used to fishing off my boat and that has me spoiled. I carry 2-3 plano boxes filled with an assortment of baits and then my plastics. Plus various tools and such.

Lews Lube Port & Noise
The lazer mg is a bottom of the line Lews. I'd say at least step up to a speed spool model. It's an aluminum frame and will last you years if maintained properly.

One $200+ Rod, Or Two $100 Rods?
Take the $200 and buy a used rod that retails for much more. I grabbed a Dobyns champ Dx for $205 to my door. $340 rod if bought new.

New Hudd-Gill
I have the 7'11 heavy 1-6oz is its rating. Anything up to around 4oz max is all I've thrown. Over that I'd go XH. You figure the sweet spot of most rods is about 1/2 of its max rating. The heavy works good for 8" hudds though.
