I guess I'll be the first to put Silver Thread on here. Have used for years and have found no reason to change. Great leaders too.

I cannot take a light rod combo in boat with me when bass fishing. I'll see some big gills slurpin and just have to go and educate them.

Lived in Oregon 60 years now it Tennessee. Loved bass fishing the west coast. Columbia, Delta, Shasta, Orville. May get to come back this summer and check out Columbia for couple days. Not best time of year but can be awesome. Tight lines

Had the fortune to fish Clear Lake a number of years ago during the spawn. It was a week of intense fishing and passing up 3 and 4 pounders near end of the week. Hands were bloody from all the fish. Truely amazing. Good Luck

Of all the baits I fish for bass with the ol Jerk bait is my nemisis!!! Not that I haven't had a couple decent days (easy to remember as I've only had a couple). It's gotta be a timing thing for me and I need to put more in. I just love to many other baits. Guess I need to leave those other baits home.

Have taken this road with the four and six. Now that I'm older I don't want to overstress the fish. Especially if the water is warmer. Have fun

Take them on an adventure to a Flea Market or couple garage sales. May get lucky and they get to be a part of picking that secret lure. Tight Lines

Agree....believe Bazooka is a Plano product and I used them for years when I traveled to fishing evenents for bass. I would put duc tape over cap and lock just as a little insurense. Never had any trouble..very durable. My reels however always went in my carry on and were put right over my head on the plane. Stored these is Shimano reel covers. Have a great trip.

Do love the California fishing and miss it but not enough to live there. Feel the same for the mighty Columbia River and it's smallies. Now living in east Tennessee there are more lakes that I can fish decent within four hours than I can shake a stick at not too mention all the ones under an hour. (live in Knoxville) Chickamaga, Guntersville, Douglas, Norris, Watts Barr to just name a few. Good luck

When I have post frontal conditions I like to toss a 3/8...let it fall slow and then let it sit for bout ten seconds and then give a little twitch. (watch you line) P.S. I'd use some Yum or Smelly Jelly too. G..Luck

God...Family...Fishing. Time races by so fast and kids are so awesome. You will have opportunity's at work...you will not have opportunity's to see your kids do a lot of their first's if your working. Kids don't need ten of everything....they grow to fast. It most certainly did. But I believe ol Ray brought a lot to the table as far as catch and release and conservation. I may not agree with all he's done but he made some stepping huge stepping stones along with Ranger and Forest Wood. Also last but not least I got off topic and apologize to all... he said tounament fishermen! I like ol Rick Clunn as one of the beginners and still here.

I'm tending to agree with jig fish. Those bigger jigs seem to cast better on stouter tackle like a baitcaster. Medium spin could be used for a tube too or shakey head. I do like a softer tip to some degree on both rods for skipping but a stout butt for saying hello. Tight Lines

I'm finding it interesting that not to many take an apple. A Honey Crisp munched between spots is great for both fluid and norishment and taste's pretty good to. Also like water or gatoraid PNB and J Subway Sand Granola or nuts (yup I'm a muncher)..happens when ya loose fourty pounds the wrong way!! P.S. Basically I don't fish anymore without something. Sometimes even during a tourney I'll find myself sitting back for five minitues reflecting on why thing's are %$!@ing. It sometimes helps.

Not only do I keep rod down I like to actually put more pressure on the lure. Believe it keeps bait from shaken around in Bass's mouth. Tight Lines

I figure I pay good money for my reels (shimano/Daiwia) so I'm going to use the drags. There's times I need that reel hand for something else like catching a fall or breaking a branch should I be bank fishing and chasing a fish. I have caught hundreds of steelhead on six and four pound test while bank fishing trusting the drag. The only thing I may do different with a big fish is slightly loosen drag and use my index finger slightly put pressure on from time to time. "Works for me" I still want rod and reel to work for me.
