No arguing....just waiting for a good football game when it's played at night and I can watch it after going fishing! Great time of year..the coming of cooler weather....fall colors...less people on the water. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh

Can't stand something over the face....worked in a clean room years ago and it was the same thing. Just not for me but is what it is. Will wear the silly looking "Tilly hat" but other than that and drinking tons of non sugared drinks I enjoy fishing in the sun. Still have lots of energy after long day.

I really enjoy fishing a chatter bait also but seem to miss a ton of fish on them and have tried many combos. From the homemade like the above to now I'm trying the original Z-man in the pro model to see if there's a difference. I've tried a trailer hook but that seems to hamper the action of the trailer a bit so not sure if I like that. I let them take it and I've tried swinging quicker...been frustrating for me!!

Will have to say there has always been a tube for the most part on deck. I use Dry Creeks 3 1/2 inch with a weight on the inside and it has always for the most part put fish in the boat for me. Matter of fact if myself or my partner aren't throwing one it's reason to give the other a bad time!! LOVE tubes Oh....candy is dandy for a color too.

Been blessed Oregon,Washington,Idaho,California,Nevada,Utah,Wyoming,Montana,Arizona,New Mexico,Texas,Michigan,Tennessee,Florida,Arkansas,Missouri,Mississippi,Alabama, oops....forgot Texas and Ohio. A lot of these states I got to fish do to being on the state team for BASS many years ago and then qualifying for the Nationals ...wow thanks for the memories.

One of the few TV shows I watch

Love this time of year...leaves changing color...that crispness in the air...water cooling off...a little football watching...hopefully a lot of fishing. Go Seahawks

Fishing is always a mystery in what the day will bring. They are all gifts from above and to be out there enjoying what our great Lord has created is a bonus. It's something I used to take for granted and now I'm very thankful. To watch the day start or end and to figure out how to catch fish is an addiction I'm thankful for.

All good advice.....fishing all day ain't easy. I remember after my recovery from pancreatitus it took weeks/months to get back into fishing shape. Now I do stretches and lots of walking .... good luck

Prefer being barefoot also but have a pair of Ecco sandals that I've used for a couple years that are very good. Great support....ugly...but comfortable.

I kind of agree with "gimruis"and "primetime". I will usually hug the bank when it comes through and keep my rod low. Having moved out east here from Oregon there is definitly more thunderstorms...actually almost every day at one point. I just can't stay home....will just have to cross fingers today is not my day. I'm actually more terrified about the drivers around here on the wrong side of the line most of the time!!! Or ...druggies or drunks.....just sayin.

Since you didn't mention species or salt or fresh water I'm going to go with a spinning rod with a small white marabou jig. Have caught a bit of everything from fresh and salt water on this little bait.

Usually don't listen to much but this was interesting.

I too am usually pretty fortunate on the water. Last night in a small wildcat I zeroed. Did catch a couple dinks but first time in quite some time that I pulled the big doughnut. Was a beautiful evening though and thankful to be out and everything working including the ol body. Tight Lines

Gosh...wish more people would stay home when temps get high .... than I could have the lake all to myself!!!! I gotta tell those bass somehow to quit chasing bait up shallow....they're gunna stress themselves out.

I remember when I used to fish with my dad (he didn't fish often) and he used to say it's good to just get out here. Well....he wasn't the best of fishermen but had a great heart and was a good man. But he kinda sucked at fishing so I think that's why he said that...will always remember that line. He took up golfing and hardly ever went fishing again. Hope he's catching them in the big pond.
