Bee Anxiety Continues :/
Im guessing this was not a venemous snake? I know some common water snakes look like copperheads and vice versa. Yea, it was non venomous. I want to major in marine biology, but herpetology is a close second. If fishing is really slow, I can often be found looking for snakes and lizards, especially in florida.

bass eyesight
Just the other day my friend cast his lure to see a bass dart from right under his dock and follow the lure through the air. Once it hit the water, the bass was on it and hooked. This proves that they have excellent vision.

Bee Anxiety Continues :/
I really dont have any fears of animals. At school I would tie carpenter bees to strings and have a "bee on a leash". On sunday I chased and caught a 3 foot watersnake (with my hands) while I was fishing on the bank. I saw about 7 total, and I was really excited!

Fishing Books
The Bassmaster by Shaw Grigsby Bassmaster magazine The Bassmaster book library (not quite sure of the name but a few hundred pages worth of fishing material.) In-Fisherman LMB Big Bass Magic by Doug Hannon I'm looking to read Ike's book, Sowbelly, and now I'll have to look up Homer Circle's book.

Good bass from last week
Last week I was fishing when I saw a bed with a nice bass on it. It looked about 4-5 pounds. I spent about 15 minutes throwing a red kinami palm tree at them but the bass was not very interested in it, only ocasionally mouthing it and leaving it alone. I switched to a orange and yellow BPS stik-o and the another bass, about the same size returned to the bed to try to eat it. After a few casts one of them got mad and hammered it, so I hammered it back and brought it ashore. It went roughly 4.5 pounds on my scale. Judging by the belly, it was a spawned out female that could have gone 5 pounds had it been full of eggs.

Every Been Paintballing....Kwik Question
I went paintballing yesterday for 4 hours with some friends. Some of the shots did hurt but that is what makes it so fun. I do have a small cut on my head from one nasty shot that blurred my vision for about 5-10 seconds. I have slept all day today because of how intense some of the matches were, but it was sooo much fun. My best shot was mean but had me cracking up on the field. All I saw was a guy's hopper and hand sticking above a bunker pretty far away, so I lined up a single shot and nailed his hand. I saw it disapear and heard him scream "AWW F***!". I couldn help but laugh out loud. I apologized to him though so i'm not that mean... I think :-/...

anyone know their snakes
I love snakes, and I look forward to seeing them on the water. Even if they were threatening me, I would simply remove them from my boat. I have been bitten by a non venomous watersnake like the one pictured and it really doesnt even hurt. A small ***** and a little blood, all you need to do is wash it well with soapy water and put a band-aid on it. Unless you know for a fact that the snake is non venomous, you may want to take a trip to the hospital just in case. In my case, I caught it and checked for fangs. If yo are not crazy/stupid like me and following/picking up the snakes to admire them, they will leave you alone.

Live Bluegill?
I've never heard of that but it may be worth a try. See what works. If you do try it, then hook the bluegill through both lips. Otherwise you could risk killing the bait by forcing too much water into its gills

Live Bluegill?
Check your state's fishing regulations before fishing with live blegill. In florida I know you are allowed to use them only if you yourself caught them. That said, I typically use bluegill on my grandmother's lake in florida where there are no shiners around. I use bluegill between 3-5 inches most of the time, and I either hook them through both lips or through the back near the dorsal fin. I use a large float with 2-3 feet of line beneath it.

Doug Hannon's Snake Lures
I have tried searching under "snake bites" "natural motion lures" "snake lure(s)" "doug hannon snake" and a few more with minimal results. If you have any successful keywords to use, that'd be great, otherwise more reviews from you guys would be great.

Doug Hannon's Snake Lures
Has anybody tried Doug Hannon's snake lures? The videos do show some quality bass being caught, but I would like a second opinion from you guys. How long do they last? Do different colors have different tails, I swear I saw that somewhere... Basically, is it worth shelling out 40-80 dollars for the snakes?
