  1. Thanks, Let me know how you do this weekend. If I pre-fish, I'll stay out of your way.
  2. Anybody fish Raccoon lake recently. I have a tourny there in the middle of may and was looking for some insight. I'm going to pre fish a bit possibly next weekend hopefully Thanks, Deadeye32
  3. I slept right through it here in Indianapolis, but my wife sure did wake me up and let me know. Plus all of our friends were calling from 5:30-7:30 asking if we felt it.
  4. I bought one last week and the fishing manager told me that pflueger does make their spinning reels. And yes they do look identical.
  5. I've had one for at least 5-6 years and it has held up great. All zippers still work great and I cant think of one bad thing to say about it.
  6. The fish are starting to bite pretty good now. I fished a tourny at Raccoon Lake 2 weeks ago and not a single fish was caught. My dad fished a tourny last week and they caught 13 at geist, so action is picking up. I have caught some good one's this year at our neiborhood pond ;D. A couple 5 lbers and one that went 6.9 lbs on a drop shot. I've got pics on my phone so I'm trying to get them on the CPU now. How about you, you catching anything?
  7. I agree totally, We used to use those 2in. sassy shads years ago in some old strip pits to catch bass and crappie. Now it seems like all of these little baits are considered swim baits.
  8. These are what I use for bass fishing mostly, I have a garage and room full of stuff I just dont use as much anymore and stuff that I just use at the neighborhood pond. 9. Took the boat up today to get the engine serviced. After paying for that, I found out that the trailer needs some work as well. I need to get some welding done on a part of the trailer so hopfully this gets done this week, (more money). After that my brakes on the truck started making a grinding sound, so as of now its in the shop. Man I feel like everything is going wrong all at once. Man O' Man what a start to the week. Just venting, Deadeye32
  10. This weather in the midwest is awful man. The fish are biting, but if you can't feel your hands out there, how do you know? :'(
  11. 11-8 last year in Florida. I've caught 4 bass over 7lbs and 2 over 8lbs here in Indiana, but nothing close to my Florida PB
  12. I would love to see tiger hit a ball coming at him at 90mph instead of sitting still on a tee. I also would love to see his jump shot. I played with some good baseball players back when I played college ball who I considered athletes. But put them on the basketball court or golf course and you would be crazy to call them athletic.
  13. To me there is a big difference between being an athelete and being athletic. You do not have to be athletic to be a great athlete. I consider Tiger in golf, KVD in fishing, and A-rod in baseball all great "athletes", but take them out of their element, and are they very athletic? I think an athletic person is someone who can do just about everything that involves movement or is good at many different sports. Someone like Bo Jackson, or Lebron James. Hope this makes sense, Deadeye32
  14. looks about 4.5-5lbs to me.
  15. If somebody finds these, post a link please.
  16. great job, just the first of many
  17. I have the 6'9" parabolic rod that I use for crankbaits. Although it is 35 degrees and snowing right now in Indy, I caught my first 2 fish with it today. I have mine paired with a revo sx and really like it. The short grip has taken some getting used to, but I like it now.
  18. I dont buy it, but who knows?
  19. I use mega strike in the summer when the bite gets tough
  20. I've had good luck with solar bats. very comfortable
  21. I personally like using the round drop-shot weights cause I feel like I can feel the bottom better. I do know however that many guys who fish places with quagga mussels such as lake Erie like the long vertical weights so that the mussels dont nip at the line. I also like the idea of using a weedless jig or another weedless bait to give another option to the fish, I might have to try that this year.
  22. You fellas are crazy
  23. Went out Sunday morning for the first time here in Indiana. We fished a drop shot rig with 4inch robo worms and caught 2 little smallies at the white river. I also caught what I thought was a big largemouth until I got it to the boat and it ended up being a carp :-?. This is a first for me. Has anybody else done this before? Realized on the way there that we forgot our camera, so no pics, but what an interesting trip.
  24. I got Anakin Skywalker
  25. mega strike
