  1. Tatula SV or Alphas SV. Sometimes you can even get a Tatula Elite for way under $200.
  2. Who makes that Ned Rig in Goby in green flash and black?
  3. I have a few. Gets choked too. I have the 4” size but that’s the only one I haven’t used it.
  4. I prefer lighter reels so I love my Vanfords. My Stradic FL is extremely smooth though. Both are awesome reels. Just get both and sell the one you like less.
  5. I tie FG (with Rizzuto finish) at home but Alberto on the water. A lot of people use the Alberto, Uni knot etc. I like the FG because it’s extremely thin yet extremely strong. My leaders are always the length of the rod. If you do it that way, your leader knot will never enter your reel. I do the same with my baitcasters. For all of my spinning combos, I am running Sufix 832 10lb to 8 lb in Yo Zuri Hybrid or Sunline Sniper. Congrats on all of your new upgrades. It’s obvious that you do your homework.
  6. Not a consistent T-rig guy but DBomb in Superbug killed it for me one day. I use the Rage bugs more as trailers.
  7. Came here to recommend the Zillion SV but everyone beat me to it…haha. They are THAT good. If you haven’t ordered from these Japan sites before, don’t sweat it. They arrive in like 3-4 days no problems.
  8. How heavy are your bigger swimbaits? I use the Tatula 200 for S Waivers but if I’m going bigger, I’m getting the 300 for sure.
  9. My fishing partner has the new Legalis and the handle bent while fighting a fish. He was bummed.
  10. I’m a Vanford guy and I much prefer them over the Tatula LTs. I have handled 3 different Tatula LTs and none of them were smooth to me. I also had a Kage LT and liked it way more than the Tatula LTs even though they were just slightly different. I have couple Stradic Ci4+ that are still going strong. Recently got a Stradic FL and it is one of the smoothest reels I ever felt. I’m usually all about light reels but recently got a BG and that is probably the smoothest Daiwa spinning reel I have ever felt. The 2500 size is not too heavy and it’s solid.
  11. I have one JDM Zillion and several US Zillions. Favorite reels ever. If I had to use them for the rest of my life, I would be happy. Love everything about them. I hope to eventually get couple more and sell off my Tatulas.
  12. My guess is Banjo Minnow too.
  13. Yamamoto is coming out with 3” Zakos
  14. I think it depends on what you will be throwing most often. I think the 150 is more versatile but I think they both are awesome reels.
  15. Gamakatus and Guppy heads are what I’ve used for the past couple years. Just got some VMCs but haven’t used them much. The Guppy heads are one of the few hooks where you can get weights like 3/8 but still in a 1/0 size hook.
  16. After losing multiple 4lb-5lb fish on Strike King lures stock hooks, changing out the hooks are far from foolish. It’s mandatory for me and I also prefer triple grip EWG over round bends. It all depends on the brand. Brands like Bill Lewis and 6th sense already come with good hooks so i don’t change those out.
  17. Funny with all the mentions of the regular Fluke because I put one on my mini a while ago but haven’t used it since I changed it. I was using a zoom ultra vibe speed craw prior with no luck. I notice quite a few mentions of the 1/2 oz size. I have couple of the 3/8 and wish I got some 1/2 instead.
  18. Anyone know of any deals for the Daiwa Costal 150?
  19. I have the Tatula 200 for smaller swimbaits and love it. If I went bigger, I would get the Tatula 300.
  20. I have a ton of TRDs but like trying new things so I got some of the Yamamoto Neds in proven Senko colors, like Baby bass and Electric Shad.
