  1. I do same on all my reels with fluorocarbon. My braid setups I have to keep my finger out of way for that very reason?
  2. Zoom Super Fluke Gamakatsu 4/0 https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Gamakatsu_Superline_EWG_Weighted_Hook_5pk/descpage-GSEGW.html
  3. So True !! It's what keeps me going back all these years☺️ Regarding hooksets I strike as soon as they do, only time I wait is if I miss a couple in row I'll start giving them a couple seconds extra
  4. FWIW I'd recommend against Stick Jackets brand. I've got several that are falling apart.
  5. Full cork for me, I can get a better casting grip with them compared to split. Don't care for the feel on Winn either
  6. I'm sure the copper will be great, I prefer a brown?
  7. Good time to fire motor and Humminbird and jump back ahead of him and do some Autochart Live ?? I truly believe most people like him are this way because they haven't been put in there place lately. Sad to see it's definitely become more common in society. I fish from Florida to Minnesota and doesn't matter tournament angler or weekend fisherman you will always run into people like this eventually.
  8. Drop Shot and fluke for me also.
  9. I was in one yesterday and they had several KVD 1.5, 2.5 and jerkbaits for $3 also Bandit 200. Suffix 832 braid was $7.All were in regular area with new price stickers over old ones
  10. I'll grab line on smaller fish but decent fish I use a net, seen to many big fish lost at boat for different reasons through years
  11. Nope. I love fish but I'd rather pay someone else to bring me a walleye, grouper, snapper etc. with slaw, fries and hush puppies ?
  12. Cashews, peanuts, breakfast bars, water and powerade. If fishing with wife and taking shore excursions then sub sandwiches, chips, lawn chairs and beer??
  13. I know they work but never for me. I gave up years ago on them but still carrying them around 30yrs later. Give me a spook, buzzbait, jitterbug etc. and watch out but that dang torpedo ain't gonna catch one for me??
  14. Berkley Lightning would be fine for cheap MH/fast. But I agree with others about getting something nicer, the lighter the better for her probably and as stated it's great for you also to use when she doesn't go.
  15. The 7' MH/Fast is a good do all rod and would be best since your going to use it with chatterbaits, spinnerbaits. I also throw football jigs, swim jigs, large spooks and traps with it when needed. The 6'9" MH/XF makes a really nice texas rig rod but it's too limited in other areas.
  16. 14# Sunline Sniper mostly for me depending on cover.
  17. Got to fish one today even caught a small bass. Deflects off cover well and cast way better than I expected.
  18. My favorite way to fish above all else hands down. That "TAP" is so additive to me and is what brings me to the lake over and over through all the years.
  19. Picked up several during Academy Sports clearance. Ready to try soon as weather allows
  20. Same here never a problem
  21. Thanks James, great to see ya on forum. I've always got a jig on and either spinnerbait or bladed jig depending on cover.
