Sounds like it will be good casting wise, my only question now is should i get the 5.1:1 reel with multi stop AR or the 6.4:1?

I have probably 25 packs of tubes they are my favorite plastic, favorite is probably SK Coffee Tube in Crazy Craw. I find the coffee tubes are some of the most effective yet least durable tubes ive used, however i think most of the coffee infused plastics offered by SK arent the most durable. Still great baits

Am in the market for a new reel for cranks <10ft depth and mostly around 3/8oz. Was thinking the lews bb1 speed spool in the slow retrieve with multistop AR but have read there is no need for the slow retrieving reel with shallow cranks. Also, ive heard the reel casts ideally with lures over 1/2oz, will this be the reel for me or should i consider something else? Looking for long casts, itll be on a 704cb

I fish mostly clear water, i tend to throw a 3/8oz spinnerbait with a clear skirt a double nickel willows. Mimmicks a school of minnows very well. Will only use other blades during nightime or windy days for added vibrations.

just made the switch from braid to 15lb abrazx for spinnerbaits, havent fished the setup yet but already i am liking it. Casted it several times without any issue. Will probably go invizx for cranks as it seems to have more stretch, and tatsu for my spinning bottom contact rod

25 IPT is a good all around retrieve rate if youll be using it for all of that stuff. Slow retrieve rates are around 20, fasts are 30+

I could be mistaken but i think the president is only offered in the 5.2:1 ratio. Also make sure you grab the 30 size reel aka model 6930X

Several people will probably recommend to spend the extra $10 or so and get the Pflueger President. Great reel, I have one. Or maybe you can find one on sale for <$50

My dad got a bass off a Big O last spring, the thing had a really old Senko in its mouth. No hook, nothing... Who knows how long this bass was holding onto that plastic for! Hours? Months? He didn't even drop it when trying to slam the crank lol As for me, Ive only pulled up peoples rigs like lines with hooks attached and the odd musky lure

try slowing down retrieve rate, google how to tune spinnerbaits as sometimes they will not run true after a big fish hits it

Purchased my first micro guide rod a couple of weeks ago, dobyns savvy 733. Personally i simply see it as a preference thing. I do however feel they assist with guiding fluorocarbon line and managing it slightly, could be wrong. Would probably never buy a micro guide spinning rod though, not sure why

im in canada and even though my boat is put away i still go to shore spots around town some mornings to fish. (6am) Managed to pull 3 walleye and 2 sauger from one spot one day, was alot more fun than sleeping or watching tv lol.

pflueger president reel on a fenwick eagle gt, pretty decent setup for $100. If you want to spend less, get a Shakespeare ugly stik they are known for their strength, durability and low cost ($30ish)

Okay so the models with zero reverse anti reverse are basically standard reels for any technique? And the models with multi stop anti reverse are for cranking?

Was thinking of going with the Avid 7'0" M/Mod rod paired with a Lews BB1 Speed Spool for 1/4-5/8oz cranks. Fluorocarbon 10-12lb. Looking for a very smooth casting setup, does this sound like a good setup for what ill be throwing? Also, im into lipless cranks now too, will this setup be great for them too? What exactly is this multi stop anti reverse thing that the 5.1:1 BB1's have? This reel sounds amazing im just confused on this feature, dont want to order the reel and be unhappy with it. Thanks
