  1. i use 12lb mono for jerkbaits and topwaters
  2. owner mosquitos, size 1 or 1/0 just picked up a bag of 40 for $12!
  3. Personally when fishing open water eyes the only two rods i would need are a spinning setup with braid for rip jigging and a casting rod for bottom bouncing Other than that I sometimes troll cranks like the berkley flicker shad. The flicker minnows comming out soon it will be a hot bait!
  4. tubes work well, drag a crawfish color tube where theres smallies and it will get bit. try a dropshot with various plastics, football jigs, shakey heads, topwater, spinnerbaits, lipless cranks, etc
  5. for those id be using either 30lb braid or 15lb fluoro
  6. When the line reaches the little bevel on the spool its time to stop, youre good to go! have fun
  7. that would be for you to decide, everyone has their own preferences
  8. check out the st croix mojo bass 6'8" M/XF "whacky style" its in your price range
  9. i believe a few of LCs best selling baits were designed by a guy who now works for jackall. i love lc and do buy them but jackalls are the better buy, same quality lures for a few dollars less and they come equipped with stinger trebles
  10. check out Animal Customs, they made my teams paintball jerseys and theyre fantastic, ive seen bass tourney jerseys from them too they are slick
  11. mod action rod! also with any crank instead of setting the hook, just set the pressure if that makes sense
  12. i like both, stuff like cranks, spinnerbaits, etc that i heave out there I would feel comfortable going with centrifugal breaks only. Those breaks only become effective when the spool is spinning at higher speeds. When pitching jigs mag breaks would be fine as they are constantly working, however if you want to make a long cast after pitching without changing settings thats where dual breaking really shines imo
  13. shimano sienna 500 or 1000 size
  14. definitely 15lb fluoro, great line for both apps just dont toss your spinner into heavy cover
  15. sunline super natural, great mono
  16. awesome! pretty sure fenwick is pure fishing, and ive heard they are great to deal with. i think fenwicks are good rods, their blanks are really sensitive for their price points imo
  17. i never use conditioner personally. honestly when i see lines after its been applied, im pretty impressed. However ive never really had any issues yet using FC i stick between 4-8lb spinning and 12-20lb casting, so i dont use anything on it.
  18. st croix avid, they are nice rods
  19. worst braid - spiderwire ez braid
  20. I would wait for the chirp, that is what im doing right now. Lowrance said the new units should be in stores in May, dsi looks much better on these
  21. yup kvd served me a big mac once, true story
  22. awesome! nice bud lure i have an old budweiser can fishing reel lol!
