  1. Right now im putting lews, shimano and pfluegers on my dobyns lineup all nice reels
  2. Oakley Flak Jackets black iridium polarized lenses, great shades and they will never fall off the face when bending over to take your fish from the water
  3. Booyah makes a decent spinnerbait, although their swivels are of poor quality. War eagles are great quality especially for the price, i like the ones from pepper custom baits also.
  4. Either finesse fishing for big smallies or targeting large walleyes through the ice
  5. Havent tried any yet either, ill try their grubs next fall for walleyes though. Flapping craw and aggression frog look good too.
  6. Very nice! Im jealous. Congratulations!
  7. Ive got the 705cb glass and dx742sf, both are full handle rods and i love it. I have a ss733c which i wish was a full handle, its all preference
  8. I always direct tie Lures like crankbaits have split rings which act as the loop knot and let the crank do what its suppose to do The only downfall to direct tie is constantly cutting several inches of line off, which eventually leads to a respool
  9. google mariko izumi she has a show, she is crazy hot!
  10. ive got a couple presidents, arbor, supreme xt. the supreme xt is a fantastic reel, and so are the others. The weight savings, aesthetics, components, spare spool make it worth the extra money.
  11. That's the most beautiful thing ive ever heard...
  12. okay so looks like ill be placing another order for sampo swivels size 2 willow leaves size 4 5/32 hollow beads will be a while before baits are made up but of course i will post them when i do
  13. hmm ive obviously made a few mistakes, i found a chart on janns that says all the sizes of clevises, blades, etc that can be used with the 3/8oz head. link: http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/content/make_spinnerbaits.htm says blades from size 3-5 will fit on the 3/8oz head, and yes my plan was a three bladed bait. so ill have to wait and see what is the correct size and what isnt when the order arrives. i did add two packs of the sampo swivels after reading the imported ones were not the greatest
  14. Thanks for the responses, I placed a very basic order with just enough components to make five spinnerbaits to start out. After I play around with the parts for a while ill probably place another order either at janns or somewhere else for a bit higher quality parts, im looking to make some really nice looking baits. 5x Unpainted pro spinnerbait heads 3/8oz Molded 3D lure eyes 5/32 Waterbased lure paint Silicone skirt strips Skirt collars Hammered willow blades 3, 3.5, 4.5 Wire clevises sizes 002 and 003 solid metal beads 1/8'' tear drop beads red ball bearing swivels with split rings size 1 Im pretty sure that should be everything I need to make a few baits.
  15. Wow i cant wait to get married... Pflueger president 6930 great reel! i have a couple of them and they are very nice reels for $60.
  16. Just wondering if the wire forms and hooks are good quality, not looking to put together a spinnerbait and have it bend out on a 2 pounder.
  17. Anyone have any photos of spinnerbaits they have made with components from Janns netcraft? Thinking of making some of my own 3/8oz spinnerbaits im curious how good the finished products are
  18. kidney stones are my biggest fear, period
  19. i really dislike crowds personally, especially when the boat has been put away and i wake up at 6 for eyes. Nothing better than being the only boat on the water, IMO.
  20. i got a spinnerbait box in 3600 size, keeps everything really neat and organized.
  21. I always go exposed hook 3/16 or 1/4oz, usually craw colors and drag on the bottom with the odd hop. 8lb fluoro, super effective lure for smallies
