Idk...but Cabelas has a 3700Deep for $20....might be worth it for that...although I don't think I need the deep version for terminal. I'm with you on needing tighter dividers. Especially for my kayak 360 that gets tossed around a lot more than my boat bag

Most of my 360 boxes are from 'kits'; zoom lizards, swim senkos, zoom finesse kit, stick-o's, etc....and couple that were thrown in with BR Flea Market purchases. I bought a few different sizes at Home Depot. 1/3 the price of Plano/Flambeau -- but a little thinner plastic, the latches are not as good and not exactly watertight...but they were cheap I think I have actually bought one designed for (or at least marketed for) fishermen....a Flambeau...it works Oh...I also bought a Plano spinnerbait box. I like it...don't love it.

I think I've read this before, but I can't, for the life of me, figure out why you'd need to do that. I never have and don't see how it might have helped. I don't keep a telephone book in the boat, so after the first cast that comes in unencumbered by a fish (or a log or a weed), the line is not going to be telephone-book tight anymore.

What is the best car for 35K? You're likely to get 'better' recommendations if you narrow it a bit....What do you plan to use it for? Do you have any opinions, preferences to start from other than price point?

Best thing I ever did that improved my cranking was to get a lure retriever that I had confidence in. Before that, I was skeered to throw an expensive hunk of bait with a bunch of treble hooks into wood and rocks. Once I reduced the risk of losing a crankbait, I was throwing them into the places that actually held fish...and...what do you know? I started catching fish on crankbaits. Now, pulling a squarebill throughlaydowns is a favorite technique.

What's your budget? Rod, reel, line.... Oh...and braid. Straight braid or braid with a leader. The floatation aspect won't be a big factor for your jigs, pitching, worms, etc. Buoyancy of your line might matter more to some topwater or crank applications, however.

That's quite a coup for you if he's gone back to your rods over Ducketts. Especially after he basically trashes your company on his own web page. You guys still don't get it even a little bit. I cannot, for the life of me, fathom why you're trying to crack this market --- the flaws in strategy and execution are painfully clear to us here on the sidelines who aren't even in the business.

Took a fishing trip to WI back in June. I bought some of the same stuff in anticipation. "Knottable", my rear end. I ended up knot using it at all. Used 12# Yo-Zuri Hybrid for leaders and never lost a fish due...at least none due to teeth.

So...I'm a believer that scent can affect how long they hold a bait. The question that continues to bug me is whether or not scent will induce more strikes...my question is rhetorical and for me alone....because it would be very easy to get into a long, fairly pointless conversation about what we think a bass 'tastes'...or 'smells'....but...wait...what if it is garlic scented, tastes like coffee, but colored red?

You must be terribly relieved! What a stroke of luck. First off, now you have a good reason to feed the monkey...not like we need a reason, but you CAN'T be without a frog. Second, I consider it great luck that you lost it on the cast. That knot was NOT going to hold up to pulling a personal best out of a field of lily pads. That would have sucked far worse.

Retail cost and lack of favorable reviews led me to steer clear. However, I received a popper in one of the monthly tackle subscription boxes and I have been extremely happy with it....so far it outperforms my Pop R's and my Pop X's. I doubt it has much to do with the baitball so much as the action or shape...or maybe it does...maybe sitting still a lot allows the image trickery more time to work on the bass...I suspect the cranks are usually moving fast enough that action is more important than the baitball aspect

I was in the take it or leave it, undecided camp until a couple years ago....watching Bobby U's video where the fish just hang on to Megastriked lures without hooks convinced me to try it.....watched him working an exhibition tank (or more appropriately, working the crowd) with same results...no hooks, but the fish would hang on and get dragged for a couple yards before dropping the lure...May or may not catch fish, but it caught me for certain.

90 yards should be plenty. If 90, I suggest backing and you'll be fine. 70 yards might be pushing it. Do you actually cast to all the way to your knot at the spool? Or can you just see the spool...or maybe feel like there's not enough line? I'm curious as to what pound test your braid is. To those above that said he can't just add braid...I'm curious as to why not?....With the 'appropriate' knot....shouldn't be too big for guides....and there are knots that shouldn't slip even braid to braid.

I shouldn't have said "I settled"....I just meant that I tried about 7 different spinning rods. The Vendetta is awesome for drop shotting.

To answer your question, Fenwick made my favorite spinning rod.

I use the palomar with tag pulled through once more at the end to make the hook point stand up. I settled on AG Vendetta 7' MF.
