Boat Carpet Adhesive
I would probably just try some contact adhesive that you could pick up locally. If you know anyone who is in commercial roofing ask them if you can have some bonding adhesive. That stuff is great for boat carpet, just not as easy to get your hands on. Could purchase it at a roofing supply house but you would be buying way more than you need.

Fuel Gauge
That's a heck of an idea man. I appreciate it. I'm gonna have to do that. Be good to know where pickup stops. I guess that's true empty even if there's 10 gallons that can't be picked up. So long as the gauge is consistently wrong I can work with that if I have an idea of where I'm at at a given mark on the gauge. What you're calling the pucker factor I've always called gas roulette. I'd imagine that a two stroke outboard doesn't respond well to being run out of fuel at 6 grand.

Just Getting Started
Read all you can and fish all you can. Tons of great info here. Keep it as simple as you can to begin with. Its very easy to want to try every technique you're reading about at once but its not practical. Spend alot of time searching about bass behavior. It's just my opinion, but I think its important to know the behavior first. The rest will make more sense if you go in with that knowledge. It will let you know what techniques to focus on learning given your current fishing conditions. Welcome to the forums and congrats on the boat.

Fuel Gauge
Oh crap I think you're right. It's definitely under that section of rear deck. That section of deck comes off with the seats but now that you say that I'm thinking there's something else between it and the tank. I had it off awhile back making sure the person who installed the new seats hadn't run the screws into the tank but I can't remember for sure. I'd say it would be exactly the same as your friend's 201. Living with the gauge as is is sounding better by the minute.

Fuel Gauge
Mine was consistent but not anymore. Im not sure what changed. I can kind of keep track of what's roughly in it based in how much running I've been doing. Filling every time is a good idea but its not something I always do. If 1/8 tank always meant 22 gallons left I wouldn't worry about it. It's the fact that it could be 12 gallons left today and 22 left next time. I premix so it screws the ratio up a little as well since I always add the oil first. My tank is under the seats, I have to take the whole piece that the seats are screwed to off, so it is accessible for me, although not a ton of fun to get to.

Fuel Gauge
My fuel gauge is crazy. Like most I've dealt with on anything, the gauge isnt balanced. The top half (on gauge) is alot more fuel than the bottom half. This one is over the top though. 52 gallon tank. Reading less than 1/8 tank it still has 22 gallons on board. When the tank is full the gauge bounces, while the boat is stationary, back and forth so I'm guessing something is wrong. The needle stabilizes once the gauge starts dropping. Curious if this is pretty standard and I'd be wasting my time trying to troubleshoot. It is a late 90s stratos.

Two Bassresource.com Road Trips In 2016?
I think I'm in for KY lake. I've been wanting to make it to one of these road trips. Is there anything specific I need to do?

Sentenced
I totally agree. If you're going to carry know the rules of your jurisdiction and please understand safety and practices. It's a right and also a huge responsibility.

Winterizing Plastic Pelican Boat
If it's just the empty hull then I would probably do what youre doing already and tent a tarp over it in addition.

Sentenced
Hopefully he will actually have to serve every day of it. A completely senseless crime.

What Bait??
Depends a whole lot on water temp and the type of lake. If you have confidence in a jig then I would throw it, keeping in mind that you may have to get it closer to them and work it a little slower. I tend to throw some blade baits this time of year but you never know what they're gonna want. This time last year they were burning up topwater for me. And based on the conditions they really shouldn't have been. I personally find that I'm better off fishing what I'm comfortable fishing keeping in mind what the bass should be doing based on conditions, and adjusting my presentation for that.

Still Having Trouble With Motor Going Up And Down
As rhino said I'd probably go through all the wiring, including checking switches, all wiring, connections, etc. Often with a custom wiring job problems arise. As Tom said, it's always a good idea to have a repair manual. A couple unprofessional thoughts I might add. You said your buddy rebuilt the cylinders. Then later found crap in the pump. Did he flush all the fluid out? If not it's possible that some of that crap is floating around the system and intermittently blocking a passage. I guess the drive to the lake could jar more crap loose but it also could be that something electrical in nature is taking on water when the boat is in the lake. I'd check for that as well.

Shimano Cu200 Parts
I'd hate to part out one but it will probably come to that. Thanks for the sources as well guys. I will check them out. I have plenty of newer reels but my curados are always in the starting lineup.

Spooling Line
Makes total sense. That's what I was guessing it might be. I've always used the guess method when backing flouro. Probably have alot of high dollar line that never sees the water because of it. May take the time to be a little more mathmatical about it this year.

Shimano Cu200 Parts
Does any one have a solid parts source for these? I have several of them in my rod locker and they have always served me well. It's only a matter of time before they will need parts. I've bought parts in the past but its been awhile. It seems like alot of the parts are now discontinued. Was hoping someone knew where the magic stash of parts might be. I suppose it stands to reason that at some point the manufacturer quit producing them. Just throwing up a Hail Mary. Thanks

Spooling Line
Deleted. iabass8 has a better method. Just out of curiosity what is the reason for the exact line quantity?

3 Top Ranger Execs Resign
I guess it's anybody's guess as to what he will do with ranger, triton, and stratos. There may be no change other than whose bank account the profits end up in, or the brands may disappear. I totally agree with trying to support the smaller manufacturers. In my opinion they have more to gain by paying attention to quality and detail. It's harder for them to sell cheaper so they better have something to help justify the higher costs. I can't really speak to the quality of boats that Morris is putting out, since I've only been in a couple, but as far as fish ability and performance I didn't have any issues with them at all. Don't be mad at BPS though. As was said, they bought it, it was for sale, they didn't take it by force.

First Boat
That boat reminds me of the one of the first I fished out of. We called her the reservoir dog. Slapped a camo paint job on her and caught many fish from it.

We All Have That One "friend".....
How much $ varies a lot on the boat and the location. Between truck and boat fuel and ramp fees I think it costs me 50-100 bucks to go out for a leisurely fishing trip.
-
We All Have That One "friend".....
Just invite the pushy folks out on a miserable kind of day and keep them out all day. Driving rain windy kind of day. Mid 40s. The kind of day when you can't buy a bite and it's miserable even trying. You'll quickly separate the people that love to fish from the people that love to ride around on your boat.
-
We All Have That One "friend".....
As said above, I cull "friends" by telling them I'm excited to have someone chipping in on fuel. They're usually still down till I tell them just how fuel efficient the boat is. In reality I'd never require someone to share fuel costs but it sure does turn off a lot of people who are looking for a free ride. But having said that. I don't care a bit to take someone out who loves to fish but doesn't have a boat and really can't afford to help with fuel.

Ball Mount For A Light Weight Class 1 Hitch
If I'm understanding correctly, you're talking about moving the ball 2'-3' back. That would make a significant increase in the load, percentage wise, but given the load weight probably not going to create a vehicle loading issue. I would be more concerned about having the pivot point that far from the rear bumper as it relates to grade changes on the road, ramp, etc. Might be better to extend the trailer tongue.
