  1. @Bigbox99 First I’ve ever heard of an adjustable rod in that size category. Very cool. Very nice set up.
  2. @TnRiver46 I reckon we need radar on our/their rigs now.
  3. I hope MLF can hold the line and is victorious in this suit.
  4. Absolutely. I believe whole heartedly that safety on the water is a platform everyone can agree with. Perhaps eventually, others will agree.
  5. @Lottabass haha that’s awesome!
  6. @PhishLI right. I’ve asked too and he won’t state anything. No wonder he can’t cast..
  7. Yes but you’re a bit older, more experienced and wiser. My target group are the youth. But I know your point. Drinking and drug use are a contributing factor. Has anyone ever presented such kind words towards you before? 😂😂😂

    @Junger 🤣 but I know a lot more about that subject, 😂🤣😂
  9. Yup. A 20 foot Bass Boat running can mow over a kayak easily..any boat w motor can roll over a kayak. Something needs done, at least put young operators into a weekend of classroom doing safety stand downs and that helps believe me. I’ve done these in Aviation, Highway, Factory, Heavy equipment. Having GPS alone isn’t adequate for all boating safety issues. You’d need radar and other high tech software to integrate it all together. Even barges don’t use such a system. Accidents involving night operations have happened on Pickwick. Bassboat vs barge. Ocean transport ships might have such an elaborate system, I haven’t studied it. Barges are dim at night also. I mean for crying out loud, Bass Cat has a boat w a 500 hp racing motor for sale 😂 that’s a Bass boat guys. @FloridaFishinFool no disrespect, but the manatee issue is unique to Florida water and doesn’t correlate with this thread very well.
  10. @bulldog1935 😆
  11. Got it..

That’s good advice right there.. I believe I’ll take it.
  13. I wouldn’t trust AI or GPS. Both are wrong more often than not. Especially Google’s AI. GPS is good, sometimes incredibly good but there is still induced error by our Gov..
  14. My personal opinion of course but the 200E and 200D are both the best reels Shimano has ever engineered..

I never thought cigars would be so complicated to be honest. I just wanted a decent smoke occasionally. But this is definitely a rabbit hole or maybe more like a bottomless pit 😂
  16. As a bona fide sea lawyer I approve this message. 😁
  17. I started to buy a few couple weeks ago, but the reviews kinda changed my mind so I just wanted to ask.
  18. How do those crank baits run for you?
  19. Color, they were a green color, late 90’s early 2000. What else would green mean? 😆🤣😁 Daiwa worked with Denny, Jay and Guido and others. I used Guidos take on a tube rod. 7’ heavy/fast with almost no tip. I loved that rod, it was an older powermesh model. You could have flipped with that thing. Guido always used a 4000 sized reel on his spinning rods. Old dude was a hammer back in the day.
  20. Yes totally agree with that. Daiwa has been doing a lot of good with both rods and reels. I like my American made blanks but the Zillion rod caught my attention for sure. I bought it from another board user here. It was same as new and I’ve used it in Destin, Fl. And in Alabama. Great for most all inshore fish.. as well as LMB. Were those the green rods? If so, I had a Jay Yelas spinning rod, a solid tip 6’6”. I gave it to my son who promptly broke it.. go figure.
  21. Those Quantum smokes were good rods, I had one and it was solid. I have a 7’3” Zillion it’s a MH/R bend. Amazing caster and very good feel to the Daiwa rods.. solid choice.
  22. Which model you using? I used to use a 7’11” St. Croix Avid flipping stick, then a Legend.. I liked the Avid better. Except 5 years after I bought it, the guide epoxy yellowed and began to crack. All guides. It was a sweet stick though, 7’11” was a bit tough for me to handle, since then I’ve always used a 7’6” it just works better for me.
  23. What do you guys flip or pitch with? I'm using a 7’6” Loomis GLX it’s the heavy F&P model and it’s a beast. I can fish weed/pad infested water anywhere in this country with it. I believe I could pull up a 57 Chevy with her 😂 What you guys use? For lighter work I use a Talon rod XMW carbon rod, MH with fast action. It sees more use than the GLX. The Talon rod is built on a Patriot blank by Gary Loomis son Brad, right here in America. I’m very happy with the Talon rods and the GLX , just different tools for the job..
  24. What happened to your river? No not for fishing. I committed to memory particulars. I did for whitetail deer hunting & 5 years out they were invaluable.
