  1. Very good. Yes. Pertinent information is needed to know how to help this person setting up a rod we also know nothing about. It's just important to know. I digress..
  2. That’s an interesting rod n reel both honestly, & I really think the handle is pretty trick (rod)..I didn’t catch the length on it though.
  3. The NFL is nothing like it used to be, all those players you listed, I saw play excepting DB & they were all intense & mean & talented football players, my personal favorite two are Lambert & LT.. Mike Singletary & Brian Urlacher were solid for Chicago for many years. Kelce is so overrated it’s sickening but to top it off.. well you know 😂 No way is Kelce the best ever! Come on!!! 😂😂😂
  4. Who has them for that price? I guess I agree with your numbers as those are the most useful for me too. FL 3000 FM 2500 Vanford 2500 SS 5.3:1 I bought this one from Japan. I sold my Saragosa 5k 6k and 8k I really wish I’d have kept the 6k though.. amazing reels if you have a true need and I just didn’t anymore. They have incredible drag clicks, drags, gears 😁
  5. I quit a few years ago myself, I just got tired of killing them. I’ve taken whitetail up to 12 points & 235 pounds field dressed, but I have a problematic spine and I decided to protect it for making money. Rarely do I miss it, but sometimes I do. I’d rather fish in the fall anyway, water is much more enjoyable for me anyway.. fall and spring. Good times for a big bite.
  6. Well I hope ALL you guys continue to get healthier and stronger. It sounds as if the water has changed since you last fished it. If you had good success before but can't get bit now then there’s a fish problem and what that might be I couldn’t say.. I would try live bait probably. At least till you get stronger.
  7. Try that Steez with that weight and rod combo and see where you’re at. I have a Bantam (22) for that kind of work on a xtra heavy GLX rod. Are you looking for a less expensive alternative to your Daiwa? BTW, I know the Bantam is not lightweight, but it’s a tough reel. I also use Daiwa Zillion HD1000 and I’d call them light & tough. Very capable for that work imo..

  9. 1. Straight up fun is a Jitterbug. It’s all about memories with it now. 2. Rattle traps. Funny. We couldn’t just post one! That would be soo boring 😂
  10. I like his spinning rod handles. I’m not a fan of split grips but I love the way he does them. Sucks the way he does warranty/replacement. I haven’t needed it but…
  11. 3 & 3/4 ounces. Quick pics, while my nieces 2&1/2 year old is grabbing my leg hollering, fish! fish!!
  12. I lived on Jammes road at that time. But I never knew where in the city you lived, I had heard you mentioned Orange Park before. That’s Clay county right? I ultimately moved to Green Cove Springs. County line road 209A I think 😂😂 can’t hardly remember. I remember San Juan too. Some rough bars I been into. 😂 anyway I’m getting sideways on the thread. Awesome! Look forward to hearing about it.
  13. I was stationed down there and have wade fished the St. John’s in both January and February. I also first hand watched the space shuttle explode from the flight line at NAS Cecil Field, Florida. ( Think far west side of Jax ) We were trying to launch two S3A aircraft to run MAD BOOM operations for fuel tank locations. It was brutally cold that morning. Lots of aircraft issues. But it can certainly get very cold in Florida. Cold enough to ice. I remember the orange groves all lit up too..
  14. 😂🤣😂 yup, sounds like Zona
  15. Is Zona back with BASS or is he episode by episode? Anyone know?
  16. Yes I’m sure Terminators are bank on EBay. They’re plenty of scalpers on there. Especially on hard baits. I have sold some astronomy gear on there and the amount EBay gets from sellers is why in many cases, the prices are high & even ridiculous.. (but not always) Not every seller is scalping but a lot are and that includes international sellers..
  17. I like titanium but back in the day I had 2 (only 2) that didn’t run right and you can’t really tune them like stainless wire. But I had many that ran great and I do like them. Light stainless vibrates about as good in my opinion. Picasso Jigs have always been killer good, they use to have a model with a polymer head covering, owner cutting point hook and living rubber skirts. Then I ran out and started using SK jigs with Gamakatsu hooks.. Titanium is even more expensive now than in the past. (Everything is) However if you want it you gotta pay to play..
  18. Thanks for sharing that information. I understand your passion and do hope you are well..
  19. I’ve heard this from many Daiwa users, & that’s very unfortunate. I will definitely keep Plat in mind and have been on their site before. I have a friend on here who knows Japan inside & out and sometimes I think he lives there or even engineered the place. 😂😂😂 @bulldog1935 Welp that’s interesting. Is that an international standard now? Is this the problem with parts availability in Japan? Customer service use to be stellar. Shimano was outstanding and that kept me loyal. But now it seems both Shimano & Daiwa are lacking.. Which is why I’ll sacrifice a reel for parts IF needed.
  20. Yea. Contact Daiwa via phone if possible and tell them your story. Or, order from the schematic. I’m surprised you didn’t do that initially to be honest. Whatever Japans new philosophy is on spare parts availability is concerning. I’ve seen a trend the past few years of non-availability and months of waiting for items. 20 years ago I could literally order from Shimano and they always had what I wanted or needed and have even billed me for things, things like spare spools , brakes and gear sets. Idk what has happened. I buy work reels like this: I have several Daiwa Zillion 1000HD reels, all the same gear ratio. I will probably buy 2 more when the tariffs get more understood. Philosophy is if I have to, I will cannibalize one for parts for the others, and order parts or not, based on age or availability of needed parts. I'm a little shocked it’s taken a year for a cast control knob though. You could probably buy an aftermarket one from a Japanese vendor like HedgeHog..EBay etc
  21. That’s a nice boat ya got and an even nicer motor. Perfect for most all waters in Florida. Nice work.
  22. My goodness. How about telling us more pertinent information.
  23. I would avoid DHL at all costs, in fact I’ve sent Emails to Jun and asked him specifically to mail out FedEx and he was fine with that. They are the worst out of all carriers. It took exactly two items from Japan, one a camera and the other from Asian Portal to understand how terrible they are and this was way before tariffs.. just my experience but I hear rumbling about them all the time..
  24. Electronics will be locked out on the vessel. Similar to the way MLF is doing. They’re asking fans to vote on it. Not sure why if they’re going to coin toss it anyway..maybe just data mining idk.
