  1. If you're low on income have you tried braid with a fluoro leader? This will save you a lot of money. Braid lasts a long time on a reel and one filler spool of some good fluorocarbon will last you a while too. I have only used Red Label and it was alright from my experience. Used it without KVD Line and Lure and it had some stiffness to it, but I'd imagine if I sprayed some on that would've gotten rid of the problem.

The SK bitsy bug jigs always get torn up by bass around here.
  4. I like them aswell. Very loud and obnoxious
  5. The Jam has served me well too.
  6. I like Big Game too. They should also sell braided line, you could try that.
  7. Beautiful fish, can't beat a good jig bite.
  8. It was my first baitcaster and is still going strong
  9. It all depends on the baits you want to pitch, the cover you're fishing, how long you prefer the rod to be
  10. Just remember the fish can only see the bottom, not the fancy paint schemes made to catch fishermen in the store.
  11. Get away with the lightest weight possible. 1/8 oz is fine for that depth. The 10" worm would weigh a tad bit over 1/4 of an oz, so with the 1/8 oz weight you're around 3/8 of an oz. I'd throw that with the baitcaster
  12. If you're throwing the 1/8 oz with 7" worms use spinning gear, if you're using a larger weight and the 10" use the baitcaster.
  13. My money would go to a Powell too. They are very good rods for the price.
  14. Try to not spend as much as I did this year?
  15. Throw some braid with them frogs, you don't wanna be using 10 lb mono
  16. Yes that'll still be close to 6.4:1. Don't worry about those numbers as much, look at IPT
  17. 7 ft MH fast (brand of choice) 6.4:1 reel (brand of choice)
  18. You won't be able to find one that short, unless you've got a broomstick. Literally.
  19. Megastrike Shake2. Trickworms, Roboworms, KVD Finesse Worms, Powerbait Shakeyworm, pretty much any worm you want to throw on.
  20. For some reason I have never caught a fish on straight braid (except frogs), even if the water is stained like it is here. Wish I could, I'll keep trying this upcoming spring
