  1. Our place, you are only allowed to keep bass 14 inches and up, which just means that I only am able to catch dinks
  2. I saw that too.. http://www.***.com/25days.html
  3. The 723 would be perfect. I have a 683 but I don't really like throwing jigs on it. The 723 would also be awesome for other techniques, ex spinnerbaits, swim jigs
  4. Well, if you were punching thick mats, I think it would be better to use straight braid. If you had a leader it would be easier to break off in the thick stuff, and there goes your rig.
  5. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't TW exclude shimano from their discounts?
  6. I fish from the bank, so I can't really stroke a football jig. I'll just try them all and see which one works best
  7. Sorry to hear about your mother, that's a beautiful gift she gave you. I don't really have a sentimental rod and reel, but this is just my favorite. Lews TP 7.1:1 Powell Endurance 714
  8. What type of head would you guys throw in open water with dead matter, and few rocks on the bottom? Arky? Football? Brush?
  9. TW, Bass Pro, Gander Mountain, BTD, Siebert Outdoors, Northstar, Monster Fishing tackle, the list goes on and on
  10. Same thing happened with me.
  11. BTD has the best deals for LC pointers. I did a price comparison with TW, and TW has the better deals during sales. For ex) Rage craws on BTD cost $5.49, with the 25 percent sale they still cost $4.12. With TW, they cost $4.99 and when they have their 20% sale theyll be $3.99
  12. I was thinking like the difference between the Dredge series, Mata series, Big O, etc.. sorry if I confused you. I already know about the types of heads.
  13. The regular arkys, brush jigs, some fogys, and swimjigs
  14. I'm having a little trouble wrapping my mind around the different series of jigs that Siebert Outdoors offers. Could anyone explain what series each is used for? Thanks! (Sorry if this is a dumb question, I just placed my very first order from them yesterday, so I'm still an noob.)
  15. If you watch the video on youtube, he catches the first couple on the DT-6, and then switches over.
  16. Just placed my first order ever!! I can't wait till spring!!
  17. I'm the exact same way. I bet if I bought a left handed baitcaster I wouldn't have any problems adjusting to it.
  18. My jig rod is a Powell Endurance 714. It's a 714 Heavy with an X-fast tip. Rated 1/4-1 oz. Although they are discontinued, you can get one in the Max 3D line for 189.99. Considerably less than what you were going to spend, but still great rods for the price.
  19. I usually like to match because my OCD hates it,but I guess you can try to mix colors.
  20. Welcome fellow Hoosier! Have you fished at Dogwood Lake before? This is the area that I fish
  21. I picked up my Max for 128, which is the same as the Inferno retail. I also like FUJI Alconites better than the stainless steel guides the Inferno has. IMO I believe there are much better rods in that price range. Micro Magics can be found for like 100 bucks. Try and look for some good deals or wait till Black Friday.
  22. I wouldn't get an Inferno if I were you. They just came out with the MAX 3D rods so the original Max and Endurance rods are gonna be sold for dirt cheap. That's where I'd go if I were you.
