  1. I don't think that's a bad deal at all buddy. Do the usual pre-purchase checks. That boat could last you several years with proper maintenance and care. That will also allow you to find likes and dislikes in the bass boat world for future rigs.
  2. Dang JT! That's nuts man! People are freaking nuts anymore. Good job on keeping calm and glad you and the family are ok.
  3. Hmmm.... I'm intersted to see the conversation around this one.
  4. Same yourself the headache and pm bluebasser86. Couldn't ask for a better bladed jig
  5. Good deal. Now just practice. I can tell you that I used to go out after work an shoot 120 times every night. When you are starting out, knocking the fletchings or robin hooding an arrow seems cool, and it is by all accounts, but a day will come where you aim in a different spot every shot so you don't do that. Lol. It was states above, and I can't stress it enough, take a comfortable, ethical shot once you start hunting. That means if you hit spot on every time at 35 yards but only 50% of the time at 50 yards, don't take the 50 year shot. It's hard as heck, but being a bowhunter is 100% patience and trust me buddy, it gets tested A LOT! Had kansas Booner 32 yards out for 6 minutes and never had a clean, ethical shot because of tree limbs, brush, and his stance. It happens
  6. Lol. Practice your form and use a kisser button if needed so you keep the same form. Aim small miss small. Once you start hunting deer, don't be afraid to aim 2 inches back from the shoulder... Beats the heck out of smacking the shoulder. Buy quality components.
  7. Blues is the cats meow
  8. Usually happens when you are trying to muscle it. What are you using for a trailer? I don't have a problem slinging mine with a rage menace on it. I don't use zman, but bluebasser86 big head wobbler is always on at least 2 rods.
  9. Check you local tournament rules to see if they have a length or HP minimum. Most local club/jackpot tournaments only require a working livewell.
  10. Jeez... that would be rough!
  11. Love a good frog bite! Chocked it!
  12. It's tough to say... Some days fish will eat just about anything. Other days, you need to match the hatch. Bluebasser86 said in one thread where the question was about trout swimbaits in a non trout area, "What does a big bass think when he see's a trout swimming in a body of water that doesn't have trout? I think I can eat that!". I totally agree.
  13. Same here. When I get home if I want the smell of the day gone, washing in mustard, rinsing and then regular soap works perfect.
  14. Exactly. Doesn't matter if it's a professional sport, college, working at McDonald's, or a fortune 500 company... Every aspect of life has different levels of success. Each level presents it's own challenges and commitment. Think about it... Take Sears for example. They have thousands and thousands of employees... Your chances of being a guy on the floor selling tools is great. How much sacrifice, determination and commitment do you think it takes to be the CEO of Sears?
  15. I use this setup most of the time. I've also had good luck with a road runner jig about 2-3 foot under a cork and slowly reeled in.
  16. Sweet catch and glad to see you back! New products... my wallet is gonna be ticked!
  17. I'd replace the sensor that you "don't need". The motor will run with it gone, but won't make the adjustments needed as stated above.
  18. I've seen and heard of professional anglers pulling up to a spot, making 5 casts and catching 2 fish and leaving, all in less than 10 minutes. I would personally say you need to find better schools of fish, maybe off shore a little more. They are going to school up with like sized fish. (not saying you won't catch a 4lber with a school of 1lbers). Around me, most of the time if you want to catch a consistent big bag, you fish off-shore with a deep crank, c-rig, heavy jig etc. You stumble across a big one beating the banks some times, maybe even 2 or 3. I'm ashamed at how many times I've been stomped at the scales with 3 good fish and 2 mediocre fish pounding the banks by a guy that was fishing off shore and brings in 23-27lbs every time. Some day I'll learn.
  19. If you can think of any scenario that you would consider it cheating, then it has to be cheating all the time. Picture a lake that is 15 miles long. Now imagine that last half of that lake is "no wake". One boat says the heck with it and runs full plane to the back of the lake, another follows the rules and idles back, showing up much later than the first boat. Who has the advantage? In this scenario I consider it cheating, so to me, no matter the scenario, it will always be just that.
  20. Make sure the shifting cable is tight. I've seen them loosen up and not quite engage. Usually happens with reverse though. I'm sorry to hear about you dad.
  21. 1989 bass cat pantera II. I no longer have it
  22. Yup, my PB came from a 5 acre pond.
