Okeechobee
None of them have a marshal with them. Looks like they only had enough marshals for about half the field today.

Matt Herren Disqualified and Retires
Matt posted a video on his Facebook page. Didn't go into really any details at all and mentioned that the rest of the story will come out eventually to the public. The primary topic of the whole video was him saying he talked to all his sponsors and they all supported him to move over to NFPL going forward.

Fantasy Fishing 2025
I must have picked the day 1 all star team... I had 1077 after day 1 and I finished the event with 881. To no surprise, Lmoore is our leader after the first event of the year. We have a quick turnaround. The boys blast off on Thursday, so get those picks made quickly.

Most expensive spinnerbait I have ever seen
Yen to USD is 5.69. I'm guessing the seller is selling in the wrong currency.

Beginner jig colors
If you want to keep it simple with all one style, you could do a lot with these colors below in the Barbed Wire series. Dark Green Pumpkin (SKU: 066) Money Maker Watermelon (SKU: 520) Olive Pumpkin (SKU: 321) Peanut Butter (SKU: 259) Belly Craw (SKU: 238) And then I'd go with the tried and true solid black (SKU: 034)

State VS State 2025 – Let’s bring it back.
Hey Siri, which state has the smallest state record largemouth?
-
Beginner jig colors
Don't overthink it. Basic jigs can catch fish just as well as complex ones will. With that being said, my bottom contact jigs I keep pretty simple on colors. Where I will get a little more complex with whenever it comes to my skirts is for my moving baits (spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, swim jigs). Below are some I've done. Most of these have 3-5 different colors in them. This one is living rubber.

6lb braid is a 1lb mono equivalent

Remove treble hook or just snip two hooks off?
Cut off the treble. Put on a small split ring and a single hook.

2024 Deer hunting thread
Great post and photo there of the age classes. As you can see in the 2.5 and 3.5 photos.. Where the neck meets the brisket goes from being defined to looking bulky and kind of like loose hide. You can also see the sag in the belly (aka Dad Bod). The muscle mass on the shoulders and hind legs grows significantly as well.

2024 Deer hunting thread
Never heard of anything going by the nose/face. The easiest way to judge the body is by looking at where the neck meets the brisket, the "dip" in the back, and the belly. Beyond that, having the teeth done by a biologist is the only scientific way. The photo you posted doesn't really show any of those, but going by antler size that deer is either 3.5 or 4.5 years old. Definitely one that someone would be proud of.
