  2. If use at round the same time I'd use a punch rig
  3. Bring BBQ....nothing shows great gratitude towards someone (especially me) like a platter of some fine BBQ

I just checked out the smallmouth fishing page and there is plenty of talk about pink lures.
  5. X2 for the Screamin Eagle. Excellent bait. Small, yet 1/2oz = great burner
  6. Picked up a SK crappie crank that was pink a while pack, and then I read somewhere the phrase, "smallmouth love them too." so the question is...has anyone ever caught a smallmouth on a pink crankbaits?
  7. I don't like it
  8. Will someone please tell the fish that it is past jig season.
  9. Then makes the longest, and most complicated post in the thread. ?
  10. I'm not feeling it
  11. I fish from shore, so typically cast long just to give the bait more time in the water. But will occasionally make shorter target casts past a piece of cover. usual colors are: white or smoke weights are: 3/8oz for dbl Colorado & tandem. 1/2oz for dbl willow.
  12. 1. Everything in the tackle store, catches fish. 2. Learn how to tie a Polomar knot 3. Learn how the conditions of the day affect fish behavior 4. Get a white/gold willow, tandem spinnerbait. 5. Get a pack of 4" senkos and some 1/0 EWG hooks. 6. Use those until you catch fish.
  13. Wait....are you fishing from a boat, or fishing from shore?
  14. For that price, it should come with complimentary boat-side service.
  15. What size was the fish?
  16. When the sun is about two fingers above the tree line. That's just what fits my schedule
  17. Lost my first tonight, a black Cavitron. I cast out, the spool spins, then backlash, and the line just snapped. Never had that happen before.
  18. No, you cannot. The fish say it's against the rules.
  19. The size of the fish is important to me. Bass don't even get interesting until they reach 4 or 5lbs. Any smaller than that, then theyre just another panfish. But just like panfish, it doesn't require a huge investment in gear to catch them. On the flip side of that coin, the artificial bait that has probably claimed the most trophy-sized bass, is the simple plastic worm. Once again, doesn't require a huge investment to catch fish of that size either. But that's just me.
  20. Looks like the only frogs I should concern myself with are white frogs and black frogs. This makes more sense now.
  21. Im still sorting this out myself, but so far I lean towards these basic guidelines. > I throw topwater in the evening/night, or overcast daytime. > The more choppy the water = The more commotion I want to make. > The darker the skies get = The more commotion I want to make > Less commotion = twitching, popping, dog walking > More commotion = Constant buzzing. More or less. This has worked out decent so far
  22. Hmmm, that's sounding defective
  23. Makes me wonder if the tail was getting jammed somehow. I'd make sure that tail is free spinning.
  24. Whoa that's really strange
  25. Chart for stained water. Hmmm, that's interesting. Makes me wonder how much that really matters at the surface
