Happy days are here again. My favorite spring sale is on. Wacky Worm in Gilbert, PA is holding its annual spring sale. Didn't buy much but got a good deal from a Mom & Pop shop. If you are in the Tri-state area stop in and pick up some good deals.

Smallies in the poconos
Plenty of places to fish the Delaware or Susquehanna from shore on the PA side. No need to buy a NJ license. There is a dirt road off of route 209 that leads along the Delaware. Also there are state run launch sites along both rivers that are good for fishing.

Starting to Jones
I know the feeling. Was watching some videos on YouTube and a clip of a smallmouth hitting a swimbait played and I was drooling. Hopefully we will have a mild spring with the normal amount of rain. Nothing fights like a river smallmouth.

Ideas for foods/snacks for a day of fishing
Rarely do I fish 8-10 hours without a lunch break. Getting old means prioritizing health before fun. If I'm fishing long hours I will pack a sandwich, usually turkey and cheese, a pack of peanut butter crackers, water and Gatorade, not to mention a banana. Yea, I said it..banana on a boat. No silly superstitions for me. Except for my lucky underwear, worn on the outside of my pants.

Daylight Savings Time
I'm with about the DST. I personally wish they would keep it year-round. As far as starting the fishing season, I only wish that was true in my area but it does signal the coming of something better and it lifts my mood a bit.

If I'm fishing deep, over 15 feet, I use half an ounce. Anything less than that, I use 3/8. Hardheads are great for dragging baits around sparse grass and logs laying on the bottom.- Kraftgate

Just be careful @Harold Scoggins. In this day and age everybody takes everything people say seriously. WICHITA, Kan. — A man’s playful warning before using the toilet inside a Kansas Home Depot store led to a 911 call Monday afternoon, according to The Wichita Eagle. According to a police report, someone in the bathroom said, “You all need to get out of here because I’m fixin’ to blow it up.” A store employee alerted security after another man, who had apparently overheard the “men’s bathroom humor,” walked out of a stall and said, “Somebody told me there’s a bomb in the building, you need to leave the building,” according to the paper. Officers responded to the store around 12:15 p.m. and tracked down the second man, later determined to be a regular customer, who told police “he had no intention of causing such alarm” and that the bomb comment was meant to be funny. The man said he had assumed the person who said it “was in a serious need to defecate, and that he was attempting to provide a polite warning to the other patrons of the bathroom,” according to a police report obtained by the Wichita Eagle. It’s not clear who made the initial joke, but Home Depot has declined to press any charges.- getting along with neighbors
I use to have one of those "apps" but she moved in with her daughter in a town about 10 miles away. All I had to do was step out of my door and I heard the latest news on what was going on in the neighborhood. One time I came home from a week-long vacation and as I got out of my car I heard about every vehicle that had been parked in that spot since I left. I miss that app.- Anybody out there using sluggos?
