Spinnerbait Buzzbait Frog Punch rig I'd say these 4 catch at least 80 and probably closer to 85-90% of my fish. I will add that between say mid Nov. And March if and when I find open water I catch probably 99.9% on jerkbaits.

Mostly the usual baits for me. Some buzzbaits, spinnerbaits,couple jerkbaits,a frog,some soft plastics and I threw the jig in there even though it didn't catch alot of fish it boated the biggest of the year. Had other baits that worked but these were the ones that caught quality fish.

The 200b's also have a spring under the spool tension cap that's sort of cone shaped and another under the star drag dial. Could be that one. Part no. 1106

@LrgmouthShad here's one for ya. Not the biggest fish at 3-11 and it wasn't a true 'big' spinnerbait -1/2oz. But with a single sz. 7 colorado it goes as a big thumper in my book.

Maybe some type of inline treble replacement?

Ardent has or had a Denny brauer flipping reel with a shallow spool and a fixed centered Line guide and no levelwind

Got out yesterday morning( tues.) For about 6 hours. Caught 7, I each on a spinnerbait and a frog and 5 on a buzzbit with 2 decent buzzbait fish weighing 3-3 and 3-13.

Got out for about 6.5 hours today only managed to boat 7; 1 each on a buzzbait and a Texas rig and 5 on a frog with 1 frog fish the best of the day weighing 4-4

Wow! My pb black crappie is 22" give or take maybe 1/2"( i.laid it against rod and measured when I got home). Never thought anything about it being huge or maybe a record, to me it was 'just a little bigger than normal for where I was fishing' as I have caught more 16-19"ers there than I could count. P.s. caught it on a spinnerbait and when it hit I thought for sure I had an 8+ lb. Bass on as the fight was pretty good. Thing looked like a Thanksgiving serving platter with head,tail.and fins. Never got a pic as it was raining pretty good and I only weigh bass.

Buzzbait Spinnerbait Punch rig 1st 2 were easy but it's tough to leave a frog off for the punch rig as there are always pads to frog and I can throw it April to Nov. And punchable weeds can be weather fickle around here. But when they're up and the weather is right it really is fun.

Got out for about 3 hours after work this afternoon until a couple.rumbles of thunder chased me off. Caught 5 bass with 1 decent one weighing 3-15 on a frog.

@ol'crickety tag along anytime even though I don't think anyone could learn from watching me. I'm just a guy riding around chunking and grinding hoping to hit a couple on the head if I'm lucky. If I had I fishing mantra it would probably be "do as others say not as I do". Not sure anyone would want to be out when i am anyway; That 3rd fish pictured was caught Thurs. At 1p.m. temp.92 heat index 103.

Had another 20+ day fishing-less stretch come to an end about a week and a half ago. Got a few trips in since then. Felt a little lost as last I was out they were killing buzzbaits but not now. Still managed to get some with a few good ones mixed in. 5-0 on a frog, 3-15 on a punch rig double wide beaver and 4-5 on a 10" worm.

This guy. Lived in the trenches no finesse in his game.

I'll preface my thoughts by saying that imo the pre-abt snagproof phat frogs were the best frog I ever used. But when they were discontinued I went looking for a replacement. I've settled on the scumfrog trophy series which has served me well the last few years,.however I've not caught a 5+lb. Fish on one yet. And I will give the new abt phat frog a shot soon.

Was gonna put myself at '0' but then I remembered my endura max 55 has some sort of digital thingy that saves power so I guess I'm a '1'. As for why I just don't care to have or see the need for tech where I fish.

Got out today 7-12. Bit of a rough start as early on I was sitting with 3 fish boated and 5 hooked and lost. Managed to fight back a little and ended the day with 9 caught 7 lost. Fortunately none lost were bigs. Did land 2 good ones that weighed 4-7and 3-8 both on a buzzbait.

Most bass I catch on jerkbaits the rod just loads up. When I get a big "thunk" strike it's almost always a perch or crappie
