  1. Looking at these pics the 1st thing I see is the 2 running "right" are double willows and the 2 running "wrong" ,like the one in the op's post have a leading Colorado. Does that matter, I don't know, I ain't no engineer. I make my own and have no idea what they do under water and don't care so long as they catch fish.?
  2. Milfoil, coontail, lilypads, chestnut pads, a few laydowns and in a hot dry summer some nice cheese mats.

  8. Fast, 999-1 conservatively speaking.
  9. To begin, the size, shape or color of the bait won't matter until it does. Those that might have suggested that punching is 'only' a reaction bite are wrong. While it can and will elicit many reaction bites 'punching' is just a method of getting your bait to the fish. Sometimes you've gotta let it sit there, other times you've got to lift and drop a couple times and sometimes you've got to bring it back up and 'bang' it on the underside of the mat. And for @LrgmouthShad, I'm a skinhooker with my double wides, it never ceases to amaze me how many fish I catch outside the mouth when they swipe at it on the way down.
  10. Yea, I've got a lot of baits that fall into the to good a price to pass up category that I don't use. I just call them my 'when I'm unemployed/ retired/ poor I have to use them' stash.
  11. Acually never seen it. Years ago there was a supposed sighting of one near where I would bank fish a river walking spot to spot along a wooded path. As impossible as it seemed it kept me on edge whenever I was there. And I still look around whenever im in the woods.
  12. 5: dying 4: mountain lions 3: killer bees 2: falling 1: skunking
  13. For me, as space is limited in my 10 ft. Jon boat ,I try to only take 10 and never more than 12. And also it can be as few as 8 in early spring when my punch and frog rods are still in storage.
  14. Oops my bad ? brain cramp ?sorry padlin guess I'm no help
  15. While I'm not a user of titanium spinnerbaits,( I do have a small stash of them, couple buzzbaits too), I did see recently that tw has 1 made by molix for 15 bucks a pop.

  19. I've not caught a fish yet on my punching combo either only because it's still in the 'warehouse'( closet). I have caught fish on I think 11 other combos so far this season.
  20. Had my boat drift away twice before, 1st time I was able to wade, swim out about 30-40 ft. And grab it, 2nd time it was already going around a point further than I would swim and ended up In a little cove. There was a guy in a van nearby who saw the unattended boat and came down to see if someone was in the water needing help. Told him it was mine he said hang on he lived a mile away and went home grabbed his canoe, came back and paddled me out to my boat.
  21. While it is longer, wider and thicker its not twice or double of a regular beaver, I'd say more like 25% so.
  22. Got out g. Afew after work today. Fished 4-7 boated 8 bass, 1 each on a spinnerbait and buzzbait and 6 on a choppo 120 with 1 of those weighing 3-9.
  23. R.I. double wide beaver; magic craw swirl, big texan, hematoma. My punching go-to bait. 4" big bite yo mama; craw orange swirl, brownbait. Like these for downsized punching and cut down for a jig trailer. 3" big bite yo mama; craw orange and watermelon green copper flake. I use these as 1/4oz. Bladed ,swim jig and jig trailers.
