  2. I can confirm those pics are fairly accurate. Its a big bait.
  3. Is,was, and will always be a Buzzbait. Why?, because when they're on it ain't nothing more fun for me.
  4. Year over year a buzzbait for sure but this year lately its the ploppers getting it done.
  5. fwiw, Amazon has the okuma tcs 7-3 h-f casting rod for $103. Thats about 40 off tw reg. Price
  6. Reaction innovations double wide beaver is my go to punch bait.
  7. Fished today from.2:30 til.6:30 only managed to catch 3, 1 on a frog ,1 on a toad that weighed 4-1 and 1 on a choppo that went 4-4.
  8. As mentioned above if its got a skirt i also trim it. Any frog that loses its skirt gets rattles in the openings to make it a 'guntersville' frog. Also I add rattles inside frogs for sound and weight. I offset bend my lower buzzbait wires. I also 'bore out' the holes of my buzz blades before putting them on the bait to get that worn out squeak. And I score or scuff up the buzz blade tab and rivet flange for sound. And bend the buzz blade tab out a bit to maximize surface contact with the rivet.
  9. Buzzbait Frog Toad Punch rig Spinnerbait
  10. So after enduring and somehow surviving a 21 day stretch where i couldnt get out in the boat i hit the water today at 7 and fished til 1. I caught 11 total , 1 on bladed jig and 3 on a buzzbait but it was a choppo 120 that did the most work catching 7 including the 2 best of the day at 3-9 and 4-5 both of which came in the first 15-20 casts with the bait.
  11. Buzzbait.
  12. Kinda felt the 'vibe' so i threw the boat out for a few hours this morn. Before work. Fished 7-10 caught 7, 2 on a buzzbait and 5 on a frog with a couple decent ones in the mix that weighed 3-4 and 4-9.
  13. My spinnerbait reel is 5:1 however i often have a 2nd bait rigged up on my 'do all' combo which is 6:3-1. My buzbait reel is also 6:3-1.
  14. 1: Spinnerbait 2: Buzzbait 3: trying to get a frog bite going
  15. Stopped to take a few casts before work Fri. Morn. Got this 4-5 on a buzzbait.
  16. Fish,fast? Yes I do.
  17. As mentioned above fallfish would be a browm copperish color. We would catch them up to 20"alot while smallie fishing the saco river in Maine. Like pickeral They'll hit any thing that moves like a freight train but roll over and give up once hooked. And @TnRiver46 i ate a couple once for kicks and while the taste was fine they're bony as heck and not worth the effort.
  18. Single Colorado's are an early and late season bait for me. They're all I've used this year so far. I dont worry about water clarity or time of day so much but do prefer copper for cloudy days. For size i use 5's on 1/4 and 3/8ths oz. And 7's for 1/2-1oz.baits. Also I never slowroll or helicopter just straight retreive.
  19. Got out today after work 3-7. Got 8 on a spinnerbait with the best of those a 3-8 and one on a jig that weighed 4-8.
  20. Stand. Only sit to dig through my tackle.
  21. Got out to a few hours after work today. Got 6 total 3 on a spinnerbait and 3 on a buzzbait with the best a chunky 4-0 on the buzzbait.
  22. 2nd trip out in the boat this year for a few hours. Got a jig fish right off the bat, though it would be the deal, but after 2 hrs had nothing but a couple pickeral to show. Picked up a spinnerbait and got a 4-10 on my 7th cast. Got 4 more before heading home.
