It's a suggestion from over 30 years of braid use.ive used lighter but to me there is no point.. there's no way 30 lb never digs unless you have a really lose drag or catch sunnies all day. If you horse a 5 lber out of a ton of thick weeds it will dig for sure and dig worse than 50 lb. That's just a fact. To each his own.

This my friend is why you never go below 50 lb braid on a baitcaster. Get Sufix 832 braid.. braid backlashes less than any other lines and backlash comes out easier. First is when does the backlash happen ? If it's at the start of cast then you need more thumb or Centrifugal brake. If it's during the cast you need more magnetic brake or more cast control knob. As a beginner you should have your bait falling slowly to start. You're not good enough to go full blown loose . Also cast with wrist at 90 degrees so spool has less centrifugal force on it .don't try to force distance. Cast with a limp wrist. Be fluid like a ballet dancer. Learn accuracy first.

That makes no sense. Centrifugal works at the beginning of of the case the magnetic work all during the cast. The best is enough centrifugal to stop instalash and then vary your magnets as needed.

So the accuracy of casting displayed by pros is not amazing? It takes just as much talent as a major league pitcher. Guys skip cast around trees like it's nothing. Deep cranking is exhausting done all day. It's not like weightlifting but it does take endurance. I would definitely say fishing is a sport.

Invisx wasn't bad. I'm. A braid guy and I'm not convinced that flouro makes a difference. The biggest thing I hate about it is when you backlash it's done.if it kinks it will fail . I don't use leaders because I use micro guides and hate knots. I never had a problem tying a Palomar with invisx or red label. I never had knot failures. If Tatsu is just a little softer than invisx I may like it.Using it for slow moving bottom baits t rigs and senkos.

I was wondering how long it lasts on a reel.At that price I can't deal with changing line constantly.

Ok I'm breaking down and ordered 2 spools 15 lb Tatsu from Sportsman's outfitters for 70$ . I know it's supposed to be the best but the price is making me vomit. I generally don't like flouro but I'm giving it one last shot. Wish me luck.
