I've fished braid since the early 90s. Overall I rate Sufix 832 the best and Tuff line Domin8 2nd. Sufix is way easier to get and comes in high vis green and yellow so I buy it.

I have 2. Am getting more.

I use one brand which is Lew's. I use different models but all have the 27 position external adjustable centrifugal brake.

I totally have to disagree on this.

Flouro does not have less stretch than mono.

Gets a Lew's custom lite slp. It doesn't need a custom spool.weighs 4.9 oz. 209$ at sportsmansoutfitters.com.

Technically flouro is a mono line. Mono means single filament. Copolymer lines are also mono.

Sufix advance mono has less stretch than any other mono or flouro that I know of by far.

I would stay with 50 Main line then put a light leader on. Or just spool up with 8lb flouro. Lower than that is spinning country.

I use nothing under 50 on a baitcaster.

Ok that's possible. If I had that issue I'd use Sufix advance mono.

I've tried other lines for various reasons. I just keep coming back to braid.i don't catch any less fish than the guy with flouro in my boat. Braid handles far better. It's also contrary to popular opinion way easier to get a backlash out of. And I fish crankbaits With. Braid over rocks with no issues.

Ive heard the cork is beyond compare. It sounds exactly like what I'm looking for.

Is it light and balanced ? I hear the build is impeccable. Is the tip soft so it's not a pool cue. How do you feel the sensitivity is with braid. The reviews I see rave about it.

So at age 62 I nearly died of covid over Christmas. I've decided that whatever time I have left I'm gonna do what I want. I'm saving Sportsman's Outfitters gift cards until I can but myself a 7-5 Xtacy. Does anybody have this rod or any others in this series? I need some opinions on it.
